Whether you’re crafting with your little girl, making something geeky for gifts, or just adding flair to your outfit before you step out the front door, this project is simple, clever, and perfect for any skill level.
Supplies Needed for Bottle Cap Earrings:
- Fallout Nuka Cola bottle caps (with colorful cap labels)
- Finishing nail and hammer
- Scrap wood block (to work on)
- Jewelry pliers
- Jump rings
- Earring hooks
- Optional: Mod Podge (to seal labels or add shine)
Step 1: Make a Small Hole
I have some Bethesda purchased Nuka Cola Bottle Caps.
You can absolutely DIY these bottle caps with this fun tutorial here!
Set your bottle cap on a scrap wood block.
Using a finishing nail and hammer, gently tap a small hole near the top edge be sure to place a piece of scrap wood underneath during the hole making process.
This is the perfect size opening for attaching jump rings later. Repeat for the second cap.
Step 2: Attach Jump Rings
Use jewelry pliers to pry open your jump rings.
Slip each through the small hole you made in the bottle cap, then close them tightly.
This gives your design an open concept dangle—just the right size for comfort and style.
Step 3: Add Earring Hooks
Connect earring hooks to the jump rings and pinch them closed with pliers.
Just like that, you’ve crafted a pair of bottle cap earrings that blend Fallout flair with DIY fun.
This project is all about creativity—mix it up by sealing your cap labels with Mod Podge, painting them with glitter fairy garden vibes, or pairing them with charms shaped like a classic controller or even Mad Hatter magic trinkets.
Display them on an open shelf so they can be Fallout themed decor when not in use.
These Nuka Cola Earrings are basically free crafts, wear them as your go-to accessory for fandom meetups.
WHAT IS FALLOUT 76?
Fallout 76 is an online multiplayer action role-playing game set in post-apocalyptic West Virginia, released by Bethesda in 2018.
Unlike previous Fallout titles, it focuses on survival and exploration in a shared open world, where every surviving human character is controlled by another player.
Players emerge from Vault 76 to rebuild society, encountering mutated creatures, cryptids like the Mothman, and legendary enemies such as the Scorchbeast.
The game introduces crafting camps (C.A.M.P.s), nuclear launch codes, and community-driven events, making cooperation—or conflict—key to survival.
Over time, expansions added NPCs, storylines, and quests, transforming it into a rich, evolving wasteland experience.
Bottle Caps are still the main currency of the post-apocalyptic Fallout world.
Bottle cap earrings are quick, affordable, and customizable.
From cosplay to everyday outfits, they add that old-school Fallout energy with a handmade touch.
The best part?
You don’t need a lot of supplies to make them, just a love for crafting and maybe a little imagination from the Wasteland!
That's it!
If you’re a fan of Fallout video games, you know the wasteland is packed with iconic imagery, quirky characters, and DIY-worthy aesthetics.

How to make a Vault-Tec Lunchbox with Sublimation Printing
Again, sublimation printing is awesome for detail and image vibrancy.
This lunchbox was easy to make and so fun to have as home decor!
Lunchboxes on Fallout are icon and a fun item to find or buy during gameplay.
They picture a line up of people going into the vault with a Vault Boy in the bottom corner.
The edges of the lunchbox are typically decorated with Vault Boy in various perk poses...but I'm keeping this one simple.
