Christmas begins with Christ Vinyl Decor with Cricut Explore Air 2

I used items I received from Cricut in exchange for this post.
Christmas begins with Christ Vinyl Decor!
I love my Cricut Explore Air™ 2 machine, it is simply so quick and easy to make especially amazing cards, decorations, crafts and handmade gifts!  I'd love to show you how quick we can make a decoration and a couple of tricks and tips along the way.
If you aren't sure if a Cricut Machine is right for you, check out this post.
And this one if you want to make some extra money with your post.
So here's the simple DIY for this sign.  Make yours say whatever you like.
I picked "Christmas begins with Christ"
You will need:
Regular vinyl/Transfer Tape
Patterned paper
Picture frame
Barn Star or other small decor piece
Hot glue/gun
Begin by opening up Cricut Design Space™ and use the text tool and fonts to design the decor you like.  This alone is the HARDEST part to any project.  The design phase.
Then here's the trick: Select the "mirror image" button and cut the design in reverse.
Scale the image to the size that will fit nicely in your frame.
My frame is 8 by 8 inches.

Now weed the vinyl, and yes, it's all reversed.
Add some transfer tape and place on the glass removed from the frame.
Rub with the scraper and pull back the transfer tape.
Now you can slip the glass right back in the frame and the vinyl will be instantly reversed!
Add some scrapbook paper and close up the frame.  It's a great way not to snag or peel the vinyl over the years of storage and decorating.
Now you can hot glue the star or little wreath or unique decor on the top and it's ready to display.

Balloon Buddy Christmas Holly Berry Decoration DIY

I received the Balloon Buddy in exchange for this post.
No other compensation, no affiliate links.
Balloon Buddy Christmas Holly Berry Decoration DIY
Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly!  Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la!
Tis the season to be jolly! Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la!
This is such a fun craft and an easy way to Deck the Halls.
~
You will need:
Balloon Buddy
3 Red Balloons
2 Green Paper Leaves, cut like pictured below
Round cardstock circle 4" in diameter
Stapler or tape
Here's a quick video to show the Balloon Buddy in action.  It is simple and blows up balloons in seconds.
3 balloons is not a big deal, but I hate blowing up even one balloon...so the Balloon Buddy is my BEST friend.  Fill the balloons so they are smaller than a basketball and kind of round.
Tape the leaves to the round circle cut out.  Then staple the opening of each balloon right on the circle, close enough together that they stay clustered, but not crowded.  Then use painters tape to hang them on the wall.  I love the way they look in my gigantic frame.  These holly berries are big and make an amazing statement!  Imagine a party or house filled with these!
They are so simple and adorable--so go on, deck the halls!

Wise Men Still Seek Him Vinyl Sign Decor

I received supplies for this post from Oriental Trading, Plaid Crafts and Cricut.
Affiliate links included.
Wise Men Still Seek Him Vinyl Sign Decor
I love Christmas decorations and I especially love pairing handmade decor with purchased decor.  I love adding new decorations to my collection each year.
 Gather supplies:
Metal Wise Men Trio
White Vinyl
Cricut Explore Air™ 2 machine
Red Apple Barrel Paint
Wood plank

Other goodies pictured:
Poinsettia Garland
Gold Tassel Garland
Hairpin Leg Table
Christmas Tree

Begin this process by painting the wood plank all red and let it dry.  This plank is 5 inches tall and 24 inches wide.
Then pick a fancy font you like...or just save off this png.
Import it into Cricut Design Space and cut it out in white vinyl.  Weed out the excess vinyl.
Next, cover the vinyl with transfer tape.  Rub it down with a scraper.
Remove the paper backing and place the vinyl right on the wood plank.
Peel off the transfer tape.
That's it, totally complete!  Such a uniquely simple statement.
Pairs perfectly with any nativity set, but these 3 Wise Kings are fabulous in rusted tin.
Oriental Trading has lots of new and trendy Christmas decor right now, check it out.
Wise men still seek him.
