Autumn Mugs DIY with Tombow ABT PRO

Autumn Mugs DIY with Tombow ABT PRO My favorite part of colder weather is hot chocolate! Naturally, I have an obsession with ceramic mugs. I adore them. I am going to show you how to make color block mugs in autumn colors using  Tombow ABT PRO  Alcohol-Based Markers. This post is sponsored by Tombow , supplies received from them as part of the 2020 Design Team. Affiliate links included in post. I receive a small percentage with every sale. Thank you! These darling color blocked mugs are easy to make and would make a wonderful handmade gift. A single mug with a packet of hot chocolate mix and a candy cane is a great gift for a teacher, neighbor or friend.  Wrap it up in a cellophane bag, fill it with treats and cocoa mix and then tie it up with some twine.  I love mugs, I am completely addicted to them! I made some sublimation mugs using the Cricut and Infusible Ink Transfers, check out this post here. Okay, funny story: My youngest son (age 12) has to unload the dish...

Summer Squash Soup!

Summer Squash Soup! This stuff is yummy! We ended up with loads of squash.  Why is it that when you plant a garden, all the squash make it to full maturity, but the sweet things like watermelons yield nothing? Life.  Anyway, we had tons of squash. I cut 4 squash and scooped out the seeds. Place them face down on a baking sheet and bake at 400* for 20 minutes. OR The next time I made this soup, I did it faster: Peel them, seed them, and chop them up into a frying pan with an onion and a bunch of garlic. We love garlic, so I put in about 10 cloves.  You might only want one. In hindsight, the frying pan was faster. And I did 10 squash that time. Once softened, they will all end up in a soup pan. Add broth, salt and pepper and basil and simmer. Blend with an immersion blender or an actual blender. Then stir in coconut milk. (minus a little for topping) Then serve into bowls and top with a tablespoon of coconut milk. Recipe: 4 Squash (peeled, s...

Button Pumpkin!

Holiday decor that goes from the end of September to the end of November! Halloween is my FAVORITE holiday! My husband and I met on Halloween of 1999! So, I am excited about the holiday and doing some holiday crafting! I gathered all my orange buttons, a few green, some burlap and paper... I used cardstock in orange and green and cut out the shape of a pumpkin and stem. I stuck them on my unsymmetrical  orange pumpkin with glue dots!  You could use hot glue too! Yep. Green stem. Decided which frame to go with... Oval won. Mounted the burlap behind glass and stuck the button pumpkin right to the glass! I love it! If you don't have colorful buttons, use paint or spray paint! Great way to use up that pile of random buttons!   This post published on Doodlecraft first
