Pearl and Bubble Cake Toppers!

Pearl and Bubble Cake Toppers! Safe for food and fun to make! It's jewelry for your cake!  Perfect accent for a pearly wedding cake, birthday cake or party cupcakes! If you leave off the luster dust, they'll be nearly clear!  Here's how to make them. You will need: Water Balloons Knox Original Unflavored Gelatine Duck Tape Silver Luster Dust (you can use any color--find at craft stores) Drying rack  Blow a little air into a water balloon. Tie it off. Twist and wrap up the nipple of the balloon with the knot and secure with duct tape. This will also aid in the drying process.  Now, mix 1/2 cup of water with 1/4 cup of gelatine. Stir gently.  Add 1/8 to 1/4 tsp of luster dust and stir in. Heat up in the microwave for about 30 seconds and stir again. Let the mixture sit for a few minutes so most of the bubbles pop. Then dip your balloons in the liquid gel and let them dry. Give them a second coat and then let them dry overnight...

Flapper Style Feather Headband!

Flapper Style Feather Headband!  I used just a few things for this adorable headband! You will need: 16-18" fold over elastic Fancy Nagorie plumed feather plastic netting (from an old marble or fruit bag) plastic rhinestone button  I measured my head with the elastic and then cut it one inch shorter...this  way it stretches just enough to keep it on but not to squeeze out your brains. Use a lighter to melt both ends to prevent fraying.  Hot glue them to the back of the feather pad...and hot glue a felt circle over the top of them.  I used pliers to pinch off the back of the button... And put a dot of hot glue on the feather...then set the net on top and pressed the jewel on the glue. Holding it all together!  Looks cute and has a fun flapper vibe!  Can be worn as a plumed headband too!  Don't you love using recyclables in cool crafts!? This marble bag is the perfect touch of veiling! ...

Steampunk Charm Bracelet!

Steampunk Charm Bracelet! You will need: Vintage Style Antique Bronze Bracelet with 5 Bezel Settings (similar) J-B Weld PlasticWeld Epoxy Putty Lisa Pavelka Steampunk Watch Parts   Clear Point Back Rhinestones  Open the epoxy. (I received this epoxy from JB Weld around Christmas time last year...I love it) And I love all these little watch parts!  Just pull off a bit of it. As much as you will end up needing... Knead to mix it together until the white and blue mix thoroughly. Then press the epoxy into your bezel, Rounding the clay inside it. Now add a variety of steampunk parts! This is the totally fun and addicting part--trust me, you will want to make 20 of them! I add jewels because they give it some sparkle! Super cool. Let it dry completely...it takes around 4 hours or so. But smell it...if it still smells like a perm...let it dry longer. The scent will completely leave when it's dry. Totally Adorable! Check o...
