Wrapping Paper Storage Between the Floors of the House DIY!

Wrapping Paper Storage Between the Floors of the House DIY! Look at what I got for Christmas!  I wanted to have a better way to store long tubes of wrapping paper, rolls of fabric...and anything else on a roll.  My husband designed this genius hack that works if you have a basement. First he cut the drywall between the upstairs and downstairs floor joists and between the floor of the upstairs and ceiling of the downstairs.  Because we have open ceilings in the basement, it made this super simple.  Great project for an unfinished basement too. Then he built a floor and back, just like a 3 foot long cubby.  Then he covered the inside with some old flooring from our house remodel.  He framed out the edges with some pine to make everything smooth and clean looking.  Now I can store all the wrapping paper and other long-hard-to-store items. What's between your floors?  Super happy about this! Like, Pin and Share! ...

Paint the Exterior Siding of a House!

I received a   Home Right Finish Max  sprayer to use in this project.  I didn't use it for the whole house, but for the out building, check it out! Paint the Exterior Siding of a House!  We bought our house a couple years ago and love it!  It was built in 1951 and needed a lot of renovations.  We mostly focused on structural things and super important things, like plumbing, electricity, and turning it into an open floor plan.  Here's the Realty Listing picture: We got permission to do work on the yard even before the deal was closed.  We had to paint the front porch in order to get our loan approved.  So by the time we bought the house, it already looked much better.  Check out the Kitchen , Living room , and the  Bathroom .   The exterior was overgrown and needed lots of care and grooming.  Which, at the end of the day, left no time, energy or money to deal with the elephant in the room...the Pink Elepha...

Front Door Refinishing!

Front Door Refinishing! This is just what I wanted for Christmas. ~ We bought our house in January and have done so much work renovating it. Check out these posts for more fun. Peacock Door Home Exterior Water Filter Living Room Bathroom Craft Room Kitchen Anyway, the front door was amazing but in terrible shape. The varnish was crusty and sharp. There were big gashes from dog claws. There was fading and chipping...ugly distressed. The door is awesome and I knew I didn't want to paint it...but it needed help. I love the Medusa Knocker and the little wrought iron glass window! It's so cool and gives the house so much character. I went off to a Calligraphy conpendium for a day of lettering and crafting with my daughter. And my husband and boys set off to impress us with their skills. They took the door off the hinges...removed the knocker, knobs, etc and set off to work. They used paint and epoxy rem...
