Cacao Power Bites! Healthy Bon-Bons!

Cacao Power Bites!  Healthy Bon-Bons! These are the best little energy boosts--plus they are decadent and delightful! These are the perfect sweet treat when eating healthy and working out! Sometimes you just need something sweet and yummy and these fill that craving perfectly.  They are full of good things and no added sweeteners, so they are a guilt free pleasure!  Great for on the go too! I love raw organic cocoa powder.  I mix it into my protein/spinach smoothies and I love it! I even like a little on it's own...it's my favorite unsweetened very dark chocolate! You will need: Medjool or Noor Dates, I made 2 batches and they are both phenomenal...about 1/2 cup 1/4 cup of oats 1/8 cup pumpkin seeds 1/8 cup cocoa powder 1/8 cup coconut flakes (there are many alternatives, you could add chia seeds, ground flax seeds, sunflower seeds, or any nuts!) My Noor dates were already pit free...but the medjool dates needed the pits removed. I ...

Nuts, Fruit and Protein Granola Bars!

Homemade Nut Protein Granola Bars! Filled with crunchy nuts and chewy fruit!  Soft and chewy granola bars! They are packed with protein and work as a meal replacement bar! Best part. Homemade goodness...no added words you can't pronounce. Best best part. Yummy. **These are 5 to nearly 40 year old approved!** All the ingredients are brought to us by the letter Bee! Really, Bees are the reason we can have these granola bars! Ingredients: 2  1/2 cups of Old Fashioned Oats (only 1 cup pictured) 1 cup Almond Flour 1/2 cup Chia Seeds 1/2 cup Raisins 1/2 cup Chopped Dates 1/2 cup Protein Powder (vanilla or chocolate) 1 cup Honey 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon I started by grinding up some almonds to make my own flour. It sure would be easier in a larger food processor. :) Next: Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl. (At this point, you will totally want to just eat a bowl of it) Pour the honey over the top and stir it in. Once complet...

Yummy and Healthy Homemade Granola Bars!

These are so yummy and I feel super good about having them over the store bought-filled with high fructose stuff-variety I tried to make them less like a cookie. Here's the recipe. 1/2 cup butter (1 cube) 1/2 cup honey 2/3 cup packed brown sugar 5 cups old fashion rolled oats 1 cup wheat germ chocolate chips or butterscotch as mix ins. Take the butter, honey and sugar and boil it in a thick pan until soft ball stage...or 235* F (I didn't use a thermometer...I just did the spoonful in the water technique) Then pour it on top of your oats and wheat germ... mix well. Press the mix into the foil lined pans... (foil makes for super easy cleanup and easy removal of granola) I've got a little one allergic to chocolate...sad right? So I made 2/3 with chocolate chips, and 1/3 with butterscotch You could add any mixins you like: coconut, raisins, craisins, yogurt dipped things, nuts (I've got one with nut allergies too) and whatever you can think of! If you add large quantit...
