Lace, Pearls and Crystal Choker!

Lace, Pearls and Crystal Choker!  You will need: 12 to 14 inches of crochet lace 2 Ribbon Crimp Ends Gold chain, clasp, eyepins and jump rings 4 teardrop crystals 4 pearls Jewelry pliers  Use the jewelry pliers to clamp down on the end of the lace.  Repeat on the other side.  Put an eye pin through the teardrop bead. Wrap the extra eye pin around itself.  This is a great trick for tricky beads!  Attach the largest teardrop to the center of the lace with a jump ring.  Repeat for the 2 smaller sized ones.  I used a pin for the pearls and formed a loop with the excess pin.  Now add a length of chain on one end and the toggle clasp on the other end. Ready to wear!  I love great DIY statement necklaces!   This post published on Doodlecraft first

Seashell Dangle Earrings!

Seashell Dangle Earrings! Seashells are so much fun to collect--why not show them off?!!  Here's what you'll need to make 1 pair of earrings: 2 spiral shells with the sides cut off exposing the chambers (you can find them already cut at craft stores or use a dremel tool and cut your own!) 2 hook earrings 2 jewelry pins (could even be eye pins...but these are what I had) 2 hook embellishments (optional but pretty) Spray paint Jump rings and jewelry pliers I started by taking the shells to the garage to spray paint them. I love the variety of metallic paints...had to do one set gold and one silver. While they dried, I attached my earring hooks to the little embellishments I had. I have an entire bucket of jewelry parts...so this was no stretch.  Now, you can see I am losing daylight... Take some E6000 glue   and dunk the pin inside the tube...  Remove it with a generous amount of glue...  Insert it into the end of the sea...

Here's what we used: Elastic lace and shabby flowers ... some felt hot glue/gun pearls  Take the elastic lace and cut it to size. Hot glue it onto a piece of felt. Fold the felt over and hot glue it together.  Then hot glue on your shabby flowers  Admire... Then I decided they needed a pearl center!  Perfect!
