I Love My Husband Shirt!

 I Love My Husband Shirt! I had a request to do the vinyl for this version of this shirt. "I love (it when) My Husband (doesn't play video games) I had my silhouette cameo cut it out of flocked heat transfer vinyl...in reverse. Weeded out the excess vinyl.  Place it plastic side up on my shirt and iron it for a couple minutes.  Remove the plastic and ta-da!  Good for a funny shirt! Loads of laughs! Portal and Portal 2 Geek Chic T-Shirts!

 Portal and Portal 2 Geek Chic T-Shirts! We had the best Portal Birthday party ever! So this is Portal week. A week filled with fun geek crafts and party ideas! First.  T-shirts. I made a bunch to give some of the guests. We do what we must, because we can.  ~ I used reflective heat transfer vinyl for the giant aperture logo. When using heat transfer vinyl (HTV), always cut it in reverse (mirrored)  Then weeded out the excess vinyl.  Place plastic side up on the shirt and iron it!  Then peel off the plastic. Peel gently, re-iron if necessary.  Looks awesome!  Next we did the portal jumper. Half in, half out. One on the front of the shirt. Iron with a tea towel for a minute or 2 and then iron on the plastic.  Peel off the plastic and let cool!  Here's the front!  And the back!  Next, the companion cube! In gold glitter vinyl!  Looks so cute!  I love the glitter htv. ...

Undercooked Armadillos Shirt!

 I try not to eat undercooked armadillos. No worries, it doesn't make sense to me either. We had a funny t-shirt design contest and this was one of the top 10. I decided to make it into a shirt for my brother. First you need an adorable and creepy armadillo.  We lived in the south for 3 years and armadillos were always around...mostly as roadkill. They are so freaky looking! ~ If you a beginner to Heat Transfer Vinyl Shirt Making check out this first! Otherwise, you'll just import your design in to the cutting software, I use Silhouette Studio. Then type your text. REVERSE everything! Then have it cut it out. Place face down on your shirt. (now it reads the right way)  Place a tea towel over the vinyl and iron on high for 2 minutes. Then remove the tea towel and iron on the plastic carefully. Then remove the plastic backing, re-iron as necessary.  As for care instructions. I find that over time the vinyl can lift off...especially the mor...
