Celebrate Chinese New Year 2023: Rabbit! Learn How to Celebrate Chinese New Year this year! Chinese New Year 2023 is on January 22, 2023. It is the year of the Rabbit. Chinese New Year is such a fun holiday to celebrate. The new year is based off the lunar cycle, so it is also known as Lunar New Year or Spring Festival. The celebration lasts for 2 weeks with Lantern Festival finishing it off on Feb 5th--so party as long as you like! More reasons to celebrate during the gray month of January--sign me up! Chinese New Year falls on the second New moon after the Winter Solstice (December 21, 2022). The Chinese New Year zodiak consists of 12 animals cycled through, in order year after year. This year is the year of the Rabbit. The Rabbit is a symbol of peace, longevity, and prosperity. Pom Pom Bunting!

Pom Pom Bunting! Perfect across a mantle or swagged over a doorway or wall! These brightly colored balls are the cutest! I love all the bright colors, but you could get specific colors for a theme! Lots of times I find these on daily deal sights like Pick Your Plum .  You will need felted wool balls. Since they aren't always on deal sights, they are available through amazon. and big yarn needles like this: You will also need some twine or yarn. Measure out the desired length of yarn or twine. (mine is 6 feet) Then loop the yarn through a needle and start stringing on these darling felted wool balls. If you want the wool balls to stay in place better, tie a knot in the yarn after each ball.  I didn't, but I had some slip... Great for parties or home decor!
