Steampunk Anything with Rub 'n Buff

Steampunk anything! I used an old cheap lock... Rubbed Spanish Copper all over it. I put it on thick and uneven...this gives it a pitted antique metal look. After it dried, I added some gold leaf... and rubbed it off carefully...to avoid removing the copper as well. Awesome!  I love how the numbers still show, so it's totally useable! But it looks so super cool! Great! Works to just rub on softly. You could change all the metal finishes of your cabinet hardware with this! (my hubby loves it for his army buckles...can't do black in  the army...but spanish copper is perfect!) So many colors! What would you put it on? Wait until you see my project tomorrow.
