I do most of my exercise in the dark and high visibility is super important.

Some of the streets in the neighborhood have sidewalks, and some don't...so there's a fair amount of walking, jogging, running, biking, etc in the street.

I ran 5 miles a day for a little more than a year, then my knees started acting up and I had to stop.
It's such a bummer.

I was a slow runner, like an 11 minute mile, but I really loved it.

I ran intervals, so I had running time and walking time.

It was so good for me and I felt so happy and healthy doing it.

I needed a lot of high vis running shirts, especially during the Summer so I could change them up daily.

Now I do a lot of walking in the dark and cold hours of the morning...I'm stuck wearing a coat and my reflective running suspenders, but look forward to warm weather and wearing my reflective running shirts again.

This reflective vinyl is matte finish and has a super reflective surface when lights shine near it.

I love making my own high vis running shirts, because they fit comfortably, have a design I love and are easy to wash.

Plus, I don't have to wear my reflect suspenders like a nerd.

I'm a Fallout nerd instead. lol.

It's important though...see this list of monsters I might have to outrun at any moment!

I found this beautiful Albino Deathclaw near Sunday Cabin and another one somewhere else.

I love the lighting in the game, so I get these cool rays of sunshine peeking through the trees!

Scorchbeast. I remember my first scorchbeast.

I was such a low level and it was such a giant waste of bullets. Luckily I was playing with my husband and 2 sons, so I had lots of help.

Supplies Needed for a Reflective Running Shirt!

vault-tec logo fallout

I used the Vault-Tec logo on the front of my shirt and the Vault 76 logo on the back of my shirt.

You can use any silhouette type image or even text on your shirt.

Vault 76 Fallout logo

Step 1: Cricut Design Space

Begin by designing the shirt in Cricut Design Space.

Upload the logo's and scale them to the desired size.

I typically do 7 inch wide for the front of a shirt and 9 inches for the back of a shirt.

Then mirror the images and send to the cutting machine.

Place the reflective iron-on vinyl on the Cricut mat with the shiny side down.

Step 2: Cut Reflective Iron-on Vinyl

Cut the iron-on at the "more" setting for every day iron-on.

Check the cut went through the vinyl before removing the mat from the machine.

If it needs to cut again, just click the go button.

If it is cut, go ahead and release the mat.

Then remove the reflective iron on from the mat and bask in its greatness.

Step 3: Weed

Next, remove the excess vinyl from the cut out logo design.

I love peeling iron-on vinyl.

It's so smooth and satisfying.

It can tear, so take your time and make sure it pulls from the cut lines carefully.

Step 4: Iron-On

Cut the logos apart and place the athletic shirt on the Cricut EasyPress Mat.

Heat up the shirt with the Cricut EasyPress for about 10 seconds.

Then place the front logo on the front of the shirt.

I center my logo 2 inches down from the neck hem.

Then cover with parchment or teflon and press the reflective iron-on vinyl.

Instructions say 300* F for 15 seconds.

Pre-press 4 seconds, peel liner warm, press again for 10-15 seconds.

Repeat the process for the back of the shirt...the back of this shirt's design dictated where I needed to put the design, so it worked out perfectly.

Normally I would go down 4 inches from the neckline hem.

See how it lights up in the dark with a flash!?

I love it!

Now you have a high vis shirt that is perfect for working, running or playing in the dark.

Remember, no one out ranks safety.

Have fun on a run and look cool doing it.
