Red Ribbon Bowties! Easy DIY!

 Red Ribbon Bowties!  Easy DIY! This is a fun and simple way to make bowties. This would be great for little matching choir ties, Christmas ties for the bows and a hair bow for the girls, Great for a Doctor Who themed party or just a fun addition to the Christmas tree or garland!   I used Offray Ribbon. They sent me this in exchange for this post. You will need satin ribbon in red (or whatever color you desire) Each tie will need 10 inches of 2 inch wide and 1.5 inch of .5 inch ribbon.  I measured and cut a bunch of 2 inch ribbon into 10 inch lengths.  You will also need hot glue and gun.  And pin backs or clips.  Take one 2 inch strip and make a zig zag of glue in the center of the ribbon.  Fold the edges into the center and press gently into the glue.  While the glue is still warm, gather the center line with your fingers.  Then place a dot of glue on the center gather and place the 1/2 inch ribbon on th...

Kanzashi Flower Bow!

 Kanzashi Flower Bow! I love bows and I love ribbon! This flower is the perfect addition to any craft project. Great for a ribbon bouquet, wreath, headband... I used Offray satin ribbon sent to me in exchange for this post.  The sky is the limit with Kanzashi, but here is what you will need for this flower: Six 4" squares of white satin ribbon Six 2 1/4" squares of azalea satin ribbon Eight 2 1/4" squares of forest satin ribbon Eight 1 1/2" squares of lemon grass satin ribbon Rhinestone button or something fun for the center Hot glue and gun First, run a bead of hot glue along 2 of the edges like this. I'd recommend a low heat glue gun.  Fold in half like a triangle.  Add glue to one of the open edges  And fold in half again.  Repeat with all the pink ones, Then put it inside the white and fold it one more time.  Just like this.  Then repeat 6 times.  Now, use scissors to cut the tip off the back. ...

Ribbon Roses Wreath!

 Ribbon Roses Wreath! Ribbon is so much fun. It's so easy to decorate with and add color in an instant! I love hairbows ...but thought I'd try something new.  Ribbon roses are fun to make and quite easy. Try it a few time to get the hang of it!  I received this huge haul of goodies from Offray in exchange for this fun tutorial! They have fantastic ribbons and accessories! They keep Walmart and other big stores in stock...they have the most adorable ribbons! First off you will need: Wreath form Ribbon hot glue/gun Wrap the wreath with cute ribbon. Mine's an inch wide and I love the bright pink! Add a loop at the top for easy hanging! Next you will need some 1.5 inch ribbons. The stiffer they are, the better they work... So a Grosgrain is going to work better than a satin or chiffon ribbon. Get about a yard of ribbon and fold it in half. At the center, fold a right angle. Then overlap the ribbon over and over...
