I love to celebrate Christmas in July!  It gives me a chance to get a head start on projects that I would feel swamped with during December.  Here are 10 amazing craft projects that you can start working on now and be way ahead of the game in December.  Enlist the kids to help while they are around for the summer--they will love the change of holidays!

Vintage Button Tree
Dig through grandma's button jar and find the perfect pieces to make this jeweled tree.  Hit thrift stores or yard sales, tis the season!

O Holy Night Nativity
On one side of the board, a vinyl nativity...on the other side...maybe something patriotic!

Marbled Ornaments
Every yard sale and thrift store has way too much Christmas ornaments and no one is buying them this time of year...except, you should!

Matchbox Advent Calendar
Take your time and this will be done for the first day of December!

I Triple Dog Dare You Shirt
Make a bunch of Holiday themed shirts, maybe a size bigger, and stash them away for the Winter season.  Hoodies are cheap during the summertime!

Buffalo Plaid Wreath
Find the perfect fleece scarf during the off season at yard sales or thrift stores...perfect for hanging on the front door during Winter.

Christmas begins with Christ
Make a vinyl sign on paper...maybe make a sign for every holiday and season...just leave them stacked inside the frame and rotate them each month or so!

Wisemen Still Seek Him Sign
Now is a great time to make wall signs for Christmas.  Pick another holiday for the other side of the wood, then you'll hit 2 holidays with one board!

Wood Nativity Set
Woodshop projects are so much nicer to do when your fingers aren't freezing!  Ask dad or grandpa to cut some shapes out of pine for you to paint--or the kids to paint!

Filigree Christmas Cards
Get a jump on the holidays by making your seasonal cards today!  Buy some paper and envelopes...you'll be so glad you did in December!

Hope this helps you get a jump on your Christmas holiday...is there anything you do to prepare for Christmas in advance?
