How to Make Chakra Attunement Healing Crystals Strand
Learn how to make a chakra attunement strand to help align your chakra system, or just create a beautiful wire wrapped crystal mobile.
This fun craft is a beautiful way to display found rocks or crystals and adding color to your space.
I am catering this post to energy healers, but the wire wrapping technique and hanging mobile is perfect for anyone displaying beautiful rocks!
You'll need some copper wire, tools and rocks of various shapes and sizes for this DIY craft.
Let's get started!
WHAT IS A CHAKRA?
A chakra is believed to be an energy center in the body according to traditional Indian spiritual practices.
There are seven main chakras, each located along the spine:
- Root Chakra (Muladhara) – Located at the base of the spine; associated with stability, security, and grounding.
- Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana) – Located just below the navel; linked to creativity, pleasure, and emotions.
- Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura) – Located in the upper abdomen; connected to confidence, willpower, and personal strength.
- Heart Chakra (Anahata) – Located in the center of the chest; represents love, compassion, and connection.
- Throat Chakra (Vishuddha) – Located at the throat; associated with communication and self-expression.
- Third Eye Chakra (Ajna) – Located between the eyebrows; tied to intuition, wisdom, and inner vision.
- Crown Chakra (Sahasrara) – Located at the top of the head; symbolizes spiritual connection, enlightenment, and higher consciousness.
Chakras are thought to influence physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being when balanced and aligned.
This attunement strand can help during mediation and energy work to align and properly rotate chakras in the body.

DO CRYSTALS HAVE HEALING POWER?
Let's talk about crystals for a bit.
Whether you are a reiki master, use a free meditation app, or believe that crystals hold healing powers or not, can we all agree that rocks and crystals are beautiful!?
You can make this chakra attunement strand with no thought of the chakra at all, maybe using rocks and crystals you found in the wild.
I am using crystals that correspond to the chakra colors, including the God consciousness above the crown chakra.
If this doesn't appeal to you, imagine making this mobile strand using rocks all shaped like hearts that you found along your travels.
And, to answer the question...I believe that all things have power if we, the user, give them personal power. It's a deep topic, and I will not be getting deeper into it...but if you like crystals and believe they heal, they probably work for you...and if you don't they won't.
I'll share more about the attunement process, crystals/meanings at the end of the post:
HEALING CRYSTALS
I find that crystals and rocks add wonderful spiritual energy to my daily life.
They are so beautiful, I make it a regular practice to collect rocks!
I've seen the importance of energy flow in the body, the emotional healing that comes from the master teacher, and what a powerful tool chakra meditation can be for spiritual health.
Apart from any spiritual aspects of chakra attunements, the wire wrapping is beautiful and the crystals are balanced in a captivating mobile that anyone can appreciate.
WIRE WRAPPING CRYSTALS:
We are going to begin by using the 16 gauge copper wire to wrap each individual rock in the mobile.
You will need your stones or crystals, I am doing 8 for each mobile.
STEP 1: CUT WIRE
Begin by cutting one piece of copper wire about one foot or 12 inches long.
Then examine the rock and see where the best possible path the wire can take to ensure that it holds it firmly in place.
Sometimes the rock will have cut grooves or natural crevices that make placing the wire a breeze.
STEP 2: WRAP AROUND ROCK
Gently wrap the wire around the rock as closely as possible and then twist the wires together once at the top of the rock.
STEP 3: HAMMER TIME
Now use the ball peen hammer to carefully hammer the wire so it conforms to the shape of the rock or crystal.
The best way to do this is to just go slow on each side tapping the soft wire.
STEP 4: TIGHTEN WIRES
Then twist the wires at the top again, making them even tighter around the rock.
This should remove the slack from the sides and make the copper wire hold the rock firmly, even if it drops on the ground.
STEP 5: CREATE LOOP
Then use the bail pliers to make a loop at the top with one wire and then wrap the ends of the wires around the base of the loop.
Repeat this wire wrapping process for each of the crystals or rocks you are putting in your chakra attunements mobile.
I found that after I did a few of the rocks it was much easier to be in a system and the others were much easier.
I was making 5 chakra strands at once, so I had 40 life force crystals to wrap up tightly.
The key here is to twist the wires to hold them in steady while you hammer the wire close to the shape of the rock, then use the pliers to tighten the twist to pull out the hammered out slack.
Then it's easy to use the pliers to twist the tails of the wire around the loop, trim the wires or tuck the ends under so there isn't any sharp points.
Now line up the wire wrapped chakra stones in the order you want them to hand in the healing attunement strand.
WIRE WRAPPED LOOPS:
Now we are switching to the 12 gauge copper wire for the rest of the hanging mobile.
STEP 1: CUT WIRES
Begin by cutting 12 inch wires, I am using 8 for this hanging mobile.
STEP 2: TOP LOOP
Use the bail pliers to make a small hook on the end of the wire.
Then make a 90* turn of the wire about an inch down from the top loop.
STEP 3: CIRCLE SHAPE
Find something the perfect round shape, I used a disinfecting wipes container and wrapped the wire all the way around the container.
Use a pencil to mark where the wire meets back up with the loop.
Then remove the container and place the pliers a half inch from the mark (closer to the end of the wire) and form a complete loop.
The loop should be oval shape, so the crystal hangs down at the bottom of the loop.
STEP 4: HANGING CRYSTAL
Now thread the wire wrapped crystal loop onto the wire and settle it into the loop, beginning with the crystal you want to have at the very top of your mobile.
Then hold the wire as close to the other wire end as possible.
Then use the pliers to wrap the end of the wire around the loop tightly.
Now reshape the circle loop as best as you can, no need to be too precise, the organic nature is part of the energy flow beauty.
Place the loop on the table and begin forming the next one that will hang below this one.
Repeat the wire bending and wrapping process for the crown chakra crystal.
STEP 5: ATTACHING LAYERS
Now hook the loop from the newest loop onto the bottom wire of the first loop.
Use the pliers to close the loop completely, locking it in place on the first loop wire.
The loops and crystals hang in an organic and natural way, making this mobile idea for hanging freely, rather than hanging against a wall.
Repeat the wire wrapping loop process and adding the dangling rocks and continue building them onto the previous one until the mobile is complete.
HANGING HOOK:
The final step is to make a hook with a 4 inch piece of wire and attaching it to the first loop hook on top.
This makes it easy to hang over a curtain rod, hook on the ceiling or over the edge of a bookshelf.
That's the process!
The wire wrapping of crystals can be used to make a gorgeous display for heart shaped rocks too--or any rocks that are special to you.
I love the natural copper, crystals and shapes together in this healing energy strand.
Crystal Chakra Attunement Guide:
HOW TO USE THE ATTUNEMENT STRAND:
Now as you sit in personal or guided meditation, all your energy systems to relax and rotate clockwise inside you, beginning with the base chakra and working your way up your spine to the complete aura chakra.
Meditate on each chakra, closing out the outside world and focusing on your basic needs, breathing and clearing your mind.
Add positive affirmations as part of your daily practice.
This can help clear up emotional blockages, create balanced emotional health and play an important role in emotional stability.
I love how this mobile turned out!
It's relatively easy to make and a great beginner wire wrapping project.
Just take your time and you'll pick it up in no time.
I love having one strand, it's pretty and impressive, about 4 feet long!
But I think a whole wall or curtain of rocks would be so pretty!
Once I get enough heart shaped rocks I'll do another one.
That's it!
