 Sword Sheath DIY
This is a fun DIY for boys to hold their wooden swords or plastic swords while they play.
My boys love swords.
I had this black buckle belt already so this was super easy.
You can use any belt you have on hand or make one with webbing and a buckle.
You will also need a hot pad holder and 2 strips of 1 inch webbing.
I got these canvas hot pads from Oriental Trading.
They stock everything for holidays, toys, novelties, crafts and DIY, parties and weddings!
They stock lots of natural items for you to craft with and decorate.
These pot holders are the perfect sheath!
They have some terrific swords too!
These would make a great kids party favor.
Fold over the webbing straps and pin on one side of the hot pad.
 Sew the straps in place.
Backstitch and sew several times to make a strong stitch.
Next, do a fun decorative stitch around the edge of the hot pad.
 Trim the threads.
Fold in half and sew down the edge.
Slip the loops around the belt.
Ready to sheath that sword and play!
My boys sword fight and train all the time.  They are so cute running and jumping and climbing.
I love to encourage that kind of imaginative outdoor play!
Awesome!
