Did you know that I made Disco Ball Shoes?

They are so sparkly and fun!

They are much more labor intensive to make...I wanted them to swirl spherically like a disco ball, so that meant placing each individual mirror tile, tediously.

These took me 8 hours to finish.

But they are spectacular!

How to Make Disco Ball Shoes! Disco Mirror Ball! Ever been to a club, dance hall or school dance and just thought "I totally need a disco ball!"? No, just me? Turns out that mirror tiles belong on everything--especially shoes! It's easy to create some dance club worthy footwear using mirror tiles and the familiar swirl pattern of a disco mirror ball. Make disco ball shoes easily with just a couple supplies and a lot of time.

Step 1: Sand the Tumbler

Begin by gently sanding the outside of the tumbler to roughen up the surface a bit...this is a great project for a tumbler that is just not quite your vibe...or one from the dollar store.

The mirror tiles will stick better if there is a little texture, so gentle sanding is all that is needed.

Step 2: Mirror Tile Strips

Now measure the mirror tile strips and cut or tear them so they fit the tall length of the tumbler.

Repeat this process for enough of the mirror tiles to fit around the tumbler.

Step 3: Peel and Stick

Then peel the backing off the mirror tile strips and adhere them directly to the tumbler, maintaining a straight line down...I just pray and eyeball it.

Fill the tumbler with the shiny mirror tile stickers until the whole thing is covered in dancing queen energy.

This is a great way to cover up a messed up tumbler!

No one will know.

Lining the mirror tiles straight is the easiest way to cover something in mirror tiles.

If your object has curves (I'm looking at you shoes) it is much more work fitting the tiles in place to make the best disco ball outcome.

After placing down the last full mirror tile strip, there was enough room on the tumbler for one more mirror tile row.

So to finish it off, I just peeled off one or two mirror tiles at a time and squeezed them in the last row as tightly as I could.

I used a weeding hook tool to maneuver mirror pieces more effectively.

I did not use any additional adhesive for this project, just the mirror tile stickers.

If you want to make it extra secure, you could use additional adhesive like Beacon Gem-Tac, that's what I used on my Disco Ball Shoes!

Well, that last row wasn't exactly perfect, but good enough for a sparkly drink holder on a hot, sunny day...or to keep the summer vibes on a chilly Autumn afternoon.

Just needs to be set on a rotating tumbler display and some colored lights shine on it!

Then colored lights and disco ball vibes would engulf the space.

Queue the music and dim the lights...it's time to get the boogie on the dance floor!

This is such a fun craft and would make a really fun element in a themed gift basket!

It just needs a custom shirt, a mocktail mix, and a keychain!

I love how shiny it is, especially twirling around in the sun!

Note: I have not used my Disco Ball Tumbler for hot drinks...I don't know if that would affect the adhesive on the mirror tiles, so use at your own risk.
