Handmade Gifts Made with the Cricut Joy!
The Cricut Joy makes gift giving a breeze! This cute little machine is amazing, make this cute set of 3 handmade gives for the perfect birthday present. I love making handmade gifts and Cricut Joy makes it so easy!
Make an iron-on vinyl shirt, and custom waterbottle and a shimmery insert card in just a few minutes for the perfect birthday gift using Cricut Joy cutting machine.

I used the same image for the water bottle and the shirt and just sized them differently. Use the Cricut Design Space App on your mobile device and find an image you love. I picked this geometric heart shape...and the birthday cake insert card.
Cricut Joy has a line of Smart Iron-on and Vinyl that is made for this machine. It can be cut without using a mat, which is brilliant!
Supplies Needed:
T-Shirt
Water Bottle
Step 1: Make an Iron-on Vinyl Shirt
Connect your Cricut Joy to the Cricut Design Space App through bluetooth. Then find the image you like and size it the size you want.
Place the Smart Iron-On vinyl in the Cricut Joy with the shiny side down. Mirror the image in the CDS app, if needed. Click the cut button on the device and Cricut Joy cuts it like magic!
Unload the Smart Iron-On and use the hook tool to remove the excess vinyl.
Now the Smart Iron-On is ready to iron on to the shirt.
Warm up the EasyPress and then warm up the shirt. Place the iron-on on the shirt where desired.
Then press with the EasyPress 2 for the recommended time. Then turn over and heat up the backside for about 15 seconds. Then let the shirt cool down completely.
Then peel off the carrier sheet from the iron-on on the shirt. Now the shirt is done and ready to wear or gift!
Step 2: Customize the Water Bottle with Vinyl
Next make the image size in Cricut Design Space to fit the size of the water bottle. Then insert the Cricut Smart Vinyl and cut out the image.
This metallic Cricut Smart Vinyl is easy to apply without using transfer tape...as long as it is all one piece. Just remove the backing and apply to a clean water bottle.
I love the metallic gold shimmer on this teal water bottle.
Step 3: Happy Birthday Insert Card
Finally, let's make a birthday card to go with these handmade gifts. These insert cards are adorable and easy to make using Cricut Joy Card Mat. Check out this post on Cricut Joy card making.
Select an insert card on Cricut Design Space that you love. Remove the clear plastic cover of Cricut Joy card mat, then insert the card and press the top layer on the sticky surface. Then click the cut card button.
After cutting, remove the card and then insert the shimmery insert paper in the card tabs from inside the card.
The perfect birthday card made in just a couple minutes!
