Rose Gold Leather Teardrop Earrings DIY with Cricut Maker

With a Cricut Maker, you can make so many amazing things!  It takes just a few minutes to make some darling leather earrings.  Leather earrings are perfection because they can be very big statements, but they are lightweight and comfortable to wear.  These rose gold ones are fantastic!
Make a quick pair of earrings for a gift, to wear out or just for fun--and make a bunch to sell too!

Supplies Needed:  (affiliate links included)

Cricut Maker
Cricut Metallic Leather Rose Gold
Cricut Metalic Rose Gold Vinyl
Cricut Tools
Earring Hooks and Jump Rings
Jewelry Pliers
Cricut Strong Grip Mat
Clear Contact Paper
Begin by sticking some clear contact paper to the backside of the leather.  This will keep all the fluff and stuff off the mat surface and keep the mat useful longer.  Then place the leather (contact paper side down) on the strong grip mat.
Use Cricut Design Space™ to design a teardrop shape with a tiny hole cut out at the top.  Then cut it out.  I SHOULD have used the knife blade, but I was too lazy to switch them, so it took much longer to cut out.
And boo...the leather didn't quite get cut all around the back edge, so there is some fuzz.  I trimmed it off with the Cricut scissors.
Then use some jewelry pliers to attach an earring hook onto the leather.
Then cut out some darling shapes in metallic rose gold vinyl.  These are shapes that I found on CDS in the Cricut Access file.
Then peel them off the backing and stick them to the leather.  The rose gold leather and rose gold vinyl go perfectly together.
I like the hit of metallic under the layers of leather.
Such an easy DIY for a great pair of statement earrings.
