Recipe: How to make Chocolate Ganache with Heavy Cream

Chocolate Ganache is a rich creamy delicacy that is perfect for holiday desserts.  It's simple to make, but screams "high class"--so it's perfect for to impress the guests.  The chocolate ganache is great for frosting, topping cakes or brownies, scooping into balls for truffles, or pouring on ice cream.

 Supplies Needed:

1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
1 1/2 Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Pour 1 cup of heavy cream in a sauces pan and cook on med/high heat on the stove.  Heat it until bubbles form around the edges of the pan.
Pour the warm heavy cream on in the bowl with the chocolate chips.
Let the cream and chocolate sit for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, stir the mixture until smooth and completely mixed.

That's it!

Pour it in a crust for pie

Or on caramel cookie bars
Or...let it chill a little and put it in a piping bag to squeeze out little ganache rosettes on cupcakes, cake, pie, cheesecake, or on a spoon!
