Okay, let's talk about these chocolate frogs and boxes! The Chocolate Frog box from Harry Potter movies is detailed and 5 sided. It's absolutely possible to make them, but so much work...and so much printer ink!
So I came up with this simple 5 sided petal box, giving them the same shape as the Chocolate Frog boxes and everyone gets it. Make them dark purple decorated with gold...or do your own vibe!
Metallic Posterboard
Cricut Maker or other cutting machine with scoring stylus or wheel
Just place your posterboard on the Cricut Mat and put the scoring accessory into the port in addition to the cutter. It will score first, then cut. Set the machine to the right medium!
Fold on the score lines, so the shiny paper is on the outside of the box.
Slip in a little wax paper, then the chocolate frog!
The petals overlap each other and the final one tucks under the first one. So easy and simple to put together--you are welcome!
Great for party favors or even for party invitations, just slip the details inside like a trading card!
Everyone will love your party and leave believing that you are a wizard!
I love a simple movie night party set up--so kick back, get a drink and a cookie and watch the show!
oh I'm in love! I can't wait to make tons of those boxes for all my friends
ReplyDeleteI can't find the template for the box (I looked on Cricut DS but couldn't find it) can you please direct me to where I can find it?
ReplyDeleteI updated the post with the link to the chocolate frogs box and added the instructions for how to score it in Cricut Design Space. Enjoy! Here's the link: https://www.doodlecraftblog.com/2020/09/harry-potter-chocolate-frogs-box.html
