Harry Potter Party: Chocolate Frog Box Pattern!
Host a fabulous and simple Harry Potter party to celebrate the 20 year anniversary of the USA release of book 1: The Sorcerer's Stone.  I love simple parties that come together will very little effort.  Here's a whole bunch of party ideas to make your mini party a huge success!
Here's what you'll want to gather:  (affiliate links included)
Gold Vintage Frame backdrop
Gold Tassel Garland
Black Goblets
Cinema Letter Box
DCWV Letterboard
Gryffindor Scarf
Butterscotch Cookies
Chocolate Frogs
Torani Syrups
Gold Bon-bons
Funko Pop Harry Potter
Rock Candy
Gummy Frogs
Halloween Cat
Basically gather any of your Halloween decorations and make them work!  Spiders, Owls, Broom Sticks, bugs, slugs, skeletons, wands, bottles, candles, maybe even a house plant!
This is part of a fun Harry Potter series at Rae Gun Ramblings!
And there's a lot more Harry Potter crafts, food and fun here!
Okay, let's talk about these chocolate frogs and boxes!  The Chocolate Frog box from Harry Potter movies is detailed and 5 sided.  It's absolutely possible to make them, but so much work...and so much printer ink!
Here I am at Honeydukes at Universal Studios Hollywood and the Wizarding World...so much visual stimuli!  I loved it!  Here's the tutorial on my Troll Bogey's shirt.
So I came up with this simple 5 sided petal box, giving them the same shape as the Chocolate Frog boxes and everyone gets it.  Make them dark purple decorated with gold...or do your own vibe!
 You will need:

Metallic Posterboard
Cricut Maker or other cutting machine with scoring stylus or wheel
Just place your posterboard on the Cricut Mat and put the scoring accessory into the port in addition to the cutter.  It will score first, then cut.  Set the machine to the right medium!
Fold on the score lines, so the shiny paper is on the outside of the box.
Slip in a little wax paper, then the chocolate frog!
The petals overlap each other and the final one tucks under the first one.  So easy and simple to put together--you are welcome!
Great for party favors or even for party invitations, just slip the details inside like a trading card!
Everyone will love your party and leave believing that you are a wizard!
I love a simple movie night party set up--so kick back, get a drink and a cookie and watch the show!
