Resin Autumn Leaf Pendant Tutorial

Resin is my newest obsession.  I am fortunate enough to get to blog over at Resin Crafts blog a couple times a month.  Autumn leaves are perfect for natural jewelry.  Go on a nature walk and collect some leaves.
They would make a great handmade gift too!
 You will need:
Leaves
Jewelry Bezel

Scissors
Sealer/paintbrush
Chain
Start by collecting some leaves.
Press them flat between layers of paper, cardboard and books!
Once they are pressed flat (like overnight) they are easy to punch circles out of...or you can cut them with scissors to fit inside the bezel.
They look pretty good already!
Then use a sealer, like Mod Podge to paint the bezel, place on the leave and paint the sealer on top.
Let them dry completely.
Then mix up your resin.  It is very easy to use, just read the instructions.  Jewelry resin needs 1 part resin and 1 part hardener, with a 2 phase mixing process.
Then pour into the bezel carefully.
Use a mini torch or a heat gun to pop any bubbles that have surfaced.  Repeat the heat treatment again after 10 minutes.  Then let the resin harden completely, like overnight.
Add a chain to the pendant and enjoy!  Perfect for Autumn time jewelry or gifts!
So simple to make--and makes such a big statement!
