 Blush and Gold Tea Party!
We had a lovely afternoon tea party with some friends.
It was so fun and basically my excuse to decorate fancy!
I had some help too!
I received some items at no cost to review, but no other compensation.
I used this gorgeous Blush Premium Paper pack from DCWV
for place mats!
It's gorgeous!  It's filled with beautiful patterns with metallic gold foil accents!
I used a simple pink tablecloth and then an overlay of this gorgeous
gold swirl table cover from Oriental Trading
And then taped the paper to the table with this gold washi tape from Oriental Trading too.
I bought some gorgeous Agate slices
and gold leafed the edges.
Then used Dr. PH Martin's Bleed Proof White ink to write the place
names on with an Oblique Calligraphy pen.
More details on a separate post here.
I used a gold paper doily under the large plate and a white one under the cupcake stand.
Each place setting was a little different and mismatched.
I used a mix of colorful dishes that I had.
I love collecting fun dishes...one or 2 at a time at yard sales or thrift stores.
I love this square shaped lavender plate!
And this teal and mint damask plate.
My daughter set the table and put the place card agates
on the settings to match.
And I mixed in my black damask dishes that I love so much.
 Creating 2 very different looks!
I love the combinations and variety each setting has.
We had all sorts of fancy food.
Small sandwiches
Lemonade
Chocolate dipped chips
Waffle cookies
York mints minis
Pirouline cookies

I loved the stacking trays, the layers, the textures and the
over-the-top feel of the table!

I got this acrylic 4-tiered stacking tray and I love it!
It's so sturdy.

It's perfect for any kind of party or event
We decorated with other fun tea things.  A darling teapot and sugar bowl
I found at thrift stores...and a gold teacup and saucer that I use for watercoloring.
They were just used as decorations.
I sliced limes and lemons and froze them in a bag.
Then used them in the lemonade instead of ice cubes. We had such a great time.
It's fun to throw a big fancy party!
What do you think!?
Do you just love it!
