Brooch Collar Necklace with Duck Brand® Fabric!
Make an easy, yet timeless and classy statement!
A pointed peter pan collar necklace!
With a chain across the back, like a necklace.
And a brooch closure on the front!
I had a bunch of old cameo brooches in my jewelry box...
I just don't always want to pin them on my clothing.
That's where Duck Brand® Fabric Tape jumps in and saves the day!
You'll need:
Duck Brand® Fabric Tape
(there's loads of other great Duck Brand Craft Tapes...glitter, washi, prism and fabric)
eyelets and setter
some chain...about 5 inches
2 jump rings
brooches or pins.
First, Duck Brand® Fabric is backed, so it wont stick prematurely.
P.S.  I love this fabric, it's almost like polka dot denim!
You will need to fold the fabric back on itself and try to line it up just so.
This part is a little tricky.
I pulled off about 20 inches of tape, removed the
backing and then folded it over on itself.
I cut the ends at about a 45* angle.
Then I cut it in half and round off the tops of the pieces.
Used my eyelet setter and put an eyelet
at the tops of both pieces.
Then hook the 5 inches of chain on the eyelets with jump rings.
 like so.
Fit it on and make sure it is the length you want.
I did a larger one in yellow...and didn't use the chain.
It still works and looks cute, but kind of "gold medal" looking.
 Easy!
Now hook the ends with a brooch!
Adds a classic look to just a simple tee!
I'm not sure which brooch I like the best!
The yellow one is darling...if a little sash like.
This would be a great and simple craft for teens and tweens!
You could use a button and an elastic loop for the closure too.
Make your own #DuckCraftTape craft too--hashtag it so
others can find it easily!
