Sonic Screwdriver Display!

Sonic Screwdriver Display!  My nearly 12 year old has quite the collection of Sonic Screwdrivers.  We just needed a way to get them off the desk...away from little hands... But also...to still keep them useable as toys!  We got a piece of wood and brushed on some white and stain.  Took some pieces of white 1/4" elastic...  And the hot glue/gun... We hot glued on little loops of elastic that would be tight enough to hold the sonics. Use a pair of scissors to press down on the elastic, don't burn fingers!  Then we took the staple gun and added a staple on each loop as well for security!  Finish off the set...  Perfecto! Now add his collection! They look great and he still has room for the 12th doctor's!  We used screw eyes and picture frame wire to hang it on the wall. Easy access, cool display, and keeps them out of  reach of small kids (aka little brother) This pos...

Crispy Cream Cheese and Green Onion Wontons!

Crispy Cream Cheese and Green Onion Wontons! Great appetizer and perfect snack food!   Ingredients: Wonton wrappers green onions cream cheese Soften the cream cheese (I used half the block or 4 oz.) 3 green onions chopped up in the cream cheese Stir up together. Take a wonton wrapper. Put a small blob of cream cheese in the center. Use a finger and some water and wet along the edges. Pull up all for corners to the center. Pinch the sides together to make a four point star. (There are many ways to fold wontons, but this one is my fave.) Repeat until you are out of cream cheese mixture. (I made15) Fill the bottom of a fry pan with oil and heat it up. Put a few wontons in the pan at a time.  Be careful, they cook fast. I put them bottom down first, then flip them on each side, browning all edges. Remove from oil and put on paper towel or plate to drain. Super fast appetizer that will have everyone craving more! Enjoy your ...

Neon Rainbow Soaps!

Homemade Neon Rainbow Soaps! Learn how to make layered rainbow soaps using a melting soap base and colorants for soap. It's a fun and easy craft for a vibrant addition to the sink!  Soapy layers of color!  I was sent Stephenson's Melt and Pour soap base . This one is free of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.   Yay. As well as a soap mold and a fun Keep Calm-Make Soap shirt!  I ordered some Neon soap colors on ebay    I used about an eighth of what I had and melted it down in a measuring cup.  Added the neon red...just a few drops.  And poured a thin layer in the soap mold. I set the soap in the fridge to help it set faster. It sets pretty quick!  I cleaned the measuring cup and repeated the process... with orange!  I loved seeing the layers form.  Then bright yellow!  Then green, blue and purple! Then they easily came out of the mold right onto the counter top with light tapping. They are super pretty! These are suc...
