Yellow side table!

Here is something I've been working on in the garage... {along with a billion other things}  Started as an old badly painted table...$3.50 I sanded it down, primed, painted and glazed!  I love this bright spring color! Thanks for looking!

End table REDO!

This is my sis-in-law. She is awesome, and my partner in crime these days...  Okay, Start with an ugly vintage end table... (yard sale for $5) Step 1: sand the crap out of it Step 2: Spray primer Step 3: Use a light grit sand paper and make sure it's smooth Step 4: Spray paint it a BRIGHT/HAPPY color!  Step 5: Admire it...  Step 6: Glaze it (this step is optional, but nice to give it a vintage look... also adds a distressed finish so you aren't so uptight about putting anything on your newly painted awesome table) This is Kara's new end table for her apartment! More of my finished furniture to come in the weeks ahead! I am addicted to these re-dos! My garage is suffering because of them!

Love old keys!

Aren't these cool!!!?  I love old keys! My husband collected a bunch all growing up,  and they've been sitting in a gallon sized ziploc bag for 11+ years! They deserve to be out and coveted by all! {but at the rate my kids want to look through them  and claim them for their own,  they may end up on a high shelf at some point} But since they are out for little wandering eyes,  I wanted a really great saying on the jar... This is the one I picked, "kind words will unlock an iron door" (its an old proverb from somewhere) I explained the meaning of it to my 8 and 7 year olds in the hopes  that they will remember it everytime they want to see the keys!
