 Cacao Power Bites!  Healthy Bon-Bons!
These are the best little energy boosts--plus they are decadent and delightful!
These are the perfect sweet treat when eating healthy and working out!
Sometimes you just need something sweet and yummy and these fill that craving perfectly.  They are full of good things and no added sweeteners, so they are a guilt free pleasure!  Great for on the go too!

I love raw organic cocoa powder.  I mix it into my protein/spinach smoothies and I love it!
I even like a little on it's own...it's my favorite unsweetened very dark chocolate!

You will need:
Medjool or Noor Dates, I made 2 batches and they are both phenomenal...about 1/2 cup
1/4 cup of oats
1/8 cup pumpkin seeds
1/8 cup cocoa powder
1/8 cup coconut flakes
(there are many alternatives, you could add chia seeds,
ground flax seeds, sunflower seeds, or any nuts!)
My Noor dates were already pit free...but the medjool dates needed the pits removed.
I wont tell you what I think they look like...
Pop them in the food processor and pulse away.
The dates form a sticky dough.
Add the oats, pumpkin seeds, coconut and cocoa powder
Once blended, it looks dry and clumpy.
But just squeeze a little in your clean hands and form a ball.
If it's still too dry, add a teaspoon of water until it's moist enough to stick.
Once the balls are formed, rolling them in cocoa powder or shredded coconut looks pretty!
I made some with no cocoa powder at all for my son who is allergic to chocolate.
Works great--and tastes awesome!
They look incredible and taste great!
This is a sweet alternative to a protein shake or granola bar!
And they look just like fancy truffles--that goes a long way in my mind!
Which one would you pick?
Here's the best part.
There is no added sugar.
So your body can enjoy one and the benefits from one and not crave more.
I can eat one and feel satisfied eating a treat but not binging on a bag full.
Eating better is a way to reward your mind, body and spirit...by giving it what it actually needs!
