Mother's day is in just one week!
It's a bittersweet day for me. I really should be so happy that I have a wonderful mother-in-law and a divine step mother. I should be super grateful that I was blessed enough to be a mother myself. But I find myself being a little sad that my own mom is not alive anymore. I wonder what it would be like to talk to her as an adult, about real life things. I wonder if we would sit around crafting and doing calligraphy. I wonder how much I really look like her. I would love to have a chance to giggle and laugh with her...to take some time out and go to lunch or shopping with my mom. I know I will see her again, but alas, Mother's day is still bittersweet.
My mom passed away from breast cancer a week before I turned 17. It's been 20 years. Feels like so long...and so recent. Have you lost a love one? How have you been able to cope? What are your favorite memories?
Look at how cute we were together. I loved when my mom wore lipstick.
I have a full size quote of Abraham Lincoln with loose florals.
All I am and hope to be, I owe to my angel mother.
