Pun Week! Quality Koala Tea Shirt!
This Koala Tea Shirt is adorable and funny.
It's cute even if people don't get it.
~
You will need:
freezer paper
Silhouette cameo or Hobby knife and cutting mat
Fabric paint
T-shirt
Stencil paintbrush
Cardboard
~
If you have a Silhouette, right click to save off the darling image.
Import it into Silhouette Studio, use the trace tool, increase levels so all the black lines are yellow and then select cut lines.
Then put a piece of freezer paper on your cutting mat with the shiny side sticking to the mat.
Set your blade to #1 and the setting to "copy paper".
Peel the freezer paper off the cutting mat and place it shiny side down on the shirt.
Layer the cardboard inside the shirt so the paint doesn't bleed through the back.
Iron on high, all the pieces except the "black line" outline.
 Just like this.
This way, when you paint, you are filling in the black lines.
 I used gray paint.
Use a stencil brush and dab in an up and down motion to fill the lines.
Don't paint side to side or it will push paint under the freezer paper and smudge.
Once it's painted, peel off the freezer paper and get it in the trash.
Then let the shirt dry completely.
Here's the image.  It's so cute.
I pulled 2 images off the internet and then combined them.
Right click to save off.  Personal use only.
There you have your darling Quality Koala Tea shirt!
If you don't have a cutting machine, you can print the image and set the freezer on top
and cut it out by hand.  One session of hand cutting will nearly solidify your
need/desire for getting a cutting machine!  :)
Awesome PUN!
Come back tomorrow for more fun!
