Skillet Breakfast and Cleaning Cast Iron Pans!
I call this camping food...but it's pretty much glamping--it's so good!
(now I just need to make it over the fire...or in a dutch oven...without electricity)
Here's what you will need:
Cast Iron Skillet

2 good size potatoes
1/2 a medium onion
2 sausage dogs
6 mushrooms
6 eggs
Salt, pepper, basil
1/2 cup of shredded cheese

Set oven to 400*
Chop up the veggies...add whatever else sounds good.
(green peppers, olives, bacon, ham...)
Put 1 tbsp of oil in the skillet put on high.
Add the meat and chopped veggies,
Stir and cook, stir and cook for about 10-15 minutes until potatoes are tender but not mushy.
 Add basil and seasonings.
Add 6 beaten eggs to the skillet.
Then take the skillet and place in the 400* oven for 10 minutes.
after 5 minutes add the cheese on top!
Bakes perfectly and smells divine!
Cut like a pie and enjoy!
And now for the mess!
Cast iron can be a disaster to clean.
Do not use soap on your cast iron pans!
I was sent this cast iron pan cleaner in exchange for this review
It's a scrubber...which is actually just a piece of chainmaille!
Made with premium 316L stainless steel, 7 inch square.
How cool, right?
Just use warm water and scrub the pan with the stainless steel scrubber!
I was impressed, it was really the best way to clean a cast iron pan I've ever used.
Say goodbye to buckets of salt and soda...
I'm throwing one in with the dutch ovens for camping too...it really saves time on clean up!
