Start with a doily or pattern.
Seriously just google doily...print off a pic and you are good to go!
Cover with wax paper.
Use Puff paint to trace the pattern.
Start in the middle and work your way out,
just like you are crocheting it yourself!

Parts will come out thicker than others...this is fine!
Let it dry.  Mine dried all weekend, so I don't know exactly how long it needs...
Gently peel off of the wax paper!
Perfect!  A plastic puff paint doily!

Hi Nat,

Cute doily project. I haven't used puffy paint in forever! Glad to see there are still current uses for it.

I followed you over from the Tip Junkie linky party. I would love if you stopped by my blog.

Thanks for sharing,
Laura

I didn't find puff paint very useful. But, you changed it. I'm going to try something like this. Thank you :)

What a brilliant idea! I am definitely going to make some of these. I think they would be great for decorating a party table (btw found you via So You Think You Are Crafty)

I've done this before to make window clings for the holidays, but never would have thought to try doilies. Super cute idea!
Love this idea!! I would have never thought of it. I want to do it in tons of different colors!

Oooh these are very pretty! I've never used puff paint before but this looks like great fun :)

Silly question though - if you used this as a doily and put a hot cup of coffee on it, would it melt??
