Pincushions!
I love these!  They would make a great gift!
I made 12 for a Crafty party I had...these were the party favors!
And yes, they were a HIT!
I filled some with pearls, beads, crystals and sparklies
with stick pins and clutches for fabulous card making!
Start with these:
Ball Mason Jars...1/2 pint size
Elite collection...wide mouth!
They are so cute because they are so squatty!
Best place to buy them:
TARGET...box of 4 for $3.79
Everywhere else (including Walmart) are more than a dollar each!
Gather supplies:
cork, scissors, hot glue gun, jars, cotton stuffing, black paper and cute fabric
I use a layer of cork and hot glue it to the lid...
makes for a tight pin fit!
lid, cotton, fabric...sandwiched...and flipped over
hold in place, it's pretty puffy...
start hot gluing edges down

until it's all glued...
then cover it with a black cardstock circle...or "eyeballed" circle like mine!

And...Ta da!
A pincushion that everyone will rave about!
Yes, I love black and white!
Perfect to fill with buttons, thread, ribbons or whatever!
Thanks for looking!

Hello! Your tutorial and pin cushion are so cute! May I have your permission to use this as part of a blog post I am putting together for Portland Modern Quilt Guild? We are hosting a pin cushion swap for our members and want to show some examples! Thanks for considering it!
