Fallout 76 Recipe: Cranberry Meatball Grinder

Hey Vault Dwellers, it's time to eat through the wasteland in luxury!

You never forget taking down your first scorchbeast--they are massive bat-like dragons that spew irradiated fumes from their mouths.

They are vicious and usually surrounded by Scorched...so you can't just focus on the Scorchbeast.
They are so big--but give you surprisingly little meat.

Hopefully you can collect enough scorchbeast meat for a delicious cranberry meat ball grinder.

I've got a bunch of Fallout themed recipes and foods posting today, so let's get started with Cranberry Meatball Grinders!

This exclusive Fallout 76 recipe features the terrifying scorchbeast--the Cranberry Meatball Grinder is made with scorchbeast meat and cranberry sauce.

Just the kind of thing you'd expect to find at Sal's Grinder or Big Papa Moe's Lip Smackin' Sandwich Shack...maybe even Toxic Larry's Meat 'n Go.

The Cranberry Meatball Grinder can be made at a cooking station with the following ingredients:

  • 3 Cranberries
  • 2 Purified Water
  • 3 Scorchbeast Meat
  • 2 Spices
  • 1 Wood

You'd expect it to need some razorgrain, based on this picture of it, but alas, it does not!

So gather those ingredients and get cooking!

Best place to get cranberries--is not the Cranberry bog--All those cranberries are diseased--I've searched many game hours there in the hopes I could find one without a disease.

I always head up to Aaronholt Homestead in the North West of the map.

There's a bunch of fresh cranberries there...perfect for meatball grinders or cranberry cobbler.

Ingredients Needed for Fallout 76 Cranberry Meatball Grinder:

  • Italian Style Meat Balls
  • 18 oz Barbecue Sauce
  • 18 oz Strawberry Preserves
  • Hoagie Buns

Panini Press (here's the one I used)

Not necessary to have a sandwich press, but it gives it the very fallout looking finish and warm toasty bread.

Step 1: Cranberry Sauce

I'm clearly not using cranberries for this recipe, but I suppose you could!

Set the oven to 350* F and get out a baking dish.

Line the dish with meatballs, one layer thick.

Then put one part of the strawberry preserves and one part of the barbecue sauce and mix them together thoroughly.

Pour over the meatballs.

Step 2: Bake, Toast and Serve!

Bake the dish of meatballs in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until warmed through.

I open up the bun and press the hoagie bun in the panini press until warm and toasty.

Then spoon a row of meatballs into the bun.

I don't put a lot of the sauce with it so the bun doesn't get soggy.

If there's enough sauce left over, you can save it in a mason jar for more meatballs next week.

That's it!

These Cranberry Meatball Grinders were really yummy--they were a big hit with the whole family.
Definitely would make them again.

They could be made in the crockpot and slowcooked during the day--complete with the sauce.
They are sweet and have a little spice (just like the fallout recipe).

They are perfectly filling and the perfect wasteland dinner, maybe pair it with some tato salad!

I can imagine taking down the Scorchbeast Queen in the Scorched Earth event and then sitting on top of survey camp alpha and enjoying a Cranberry Meatball Grinder!
