Supplies Needed for Geometric Cake Stand:

Wire Cutters and Hammer

Supplies Needed for Geometric Cake Stand: Cheese Cloche Geometric Tea Light Candle Holder Wire Cutters and Hammer E6000 Glue

Step 1: Remove Tea Light

Start by removing the tea light holder with the hammer. I placed mine inside a cardboard box and hit the candle holder on the bottom. Then use the pliers to remove the prongs holding it to the base.

Step 2: Center of Base

Then turn the wood base over and mark the center with a ruler. I got this cheese dome from a neighbor that had set it out to toss.

Then place around the center marking as even as possible. I just eye-ball it...you can get more precise if you desire.

Then leave it upside down to dry completely, at least four hours. I typically set it aside overnight. Then it is ready to set out for a festive holiday party.

This darling cake stand would be great as part of the holiday decor...with a little Winter Wonderland set up on the stand and covered with the glass dome, like a snow globe!

Or, because the surface is food safe, you can fill it with cookies and other holiday goodies with no fear!

I love the combination of glass, wood and gold! The tea light holders come in packages of 3 from Oriental Trading, so you can also set out candles to match...or make a few more cake stands!

As we say goodbye to 2020, set up a fun family party to make it special! This year has been unusual for sure, and we've had our share of financial burdens...a new (to us) vehicle, then a car accident just a couple months later...but we have loved this year!

It's been a year that has cut out the fluff. It's made us evaluate what parts of life we want to return to and what things we'd like to change. So with all the good and the bad, let's celebrate this year of better vision and hope that 2021 brings another year of life.
