DIY Resin Monogram Necklace with Vinyl
Make a darling monogram necklace in just a few minutes. Perfect handmade gift for someone you love. This necklace is easy to make and a great project if you are new to using resin. Jewelry resin is super addicting--you will love it!I picked an "H" for my daughter, which letter will you choose?
Supplies Needed:
Scrapbook PaperScissors or circle punch
Jewelry Bezel with Chain
ETI Jewelry Resin
Cricut Maker
Mod Podge or Sealer
Black Vinyl/Transfer Tape
Cut a piece of paper the size of the inside of the bezel, using the scissors or punch.
Use the Cricut Maker to cut some vinyl the size of your pendant bezel, about 3/4" tall.
Use transfer tape to get the vinyl monogram on the scrapbook paper.
Next paint the Mod Podge inside the bezel.
Place the scrapbook paper inside and then paint Mod Podge over the top of the paper too. Let it dry completely.
Now read the directions for the jewelry resin.
This bezel does not need much resin, but mix 1 part resin with 1 part hardener and mix for 2 minutes. Transfer into a second cup and stir with a second stick for 1 more minute. Mixing this 2 phase process is crucial for the hard setting of the resin.
Set the bezel on a raised surface and then fill the inside of the bezel with the mixed resin. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, then use a torch or heat gun to pop all the formed bubbles. Let it sit and harden overnight.
Use pliers to attach the chain to the bezel.
That's it! This necklace is ready to wear or gift!
Stunning and simple!
