Red, White, Blue and Gold Liberty Foil Art!
Patriotic crafts are so much fun!
And gold foil is so much fun too--and you don't need an expensive machine to do it!
I came across this amazing scripture in 2 Corinthians 3:17
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty.
We can leave the politics of the nation out of this post and focus on the crafting.
Pick a quote, phrase or slogan that you love.
Print it out on a LASER printer.
I don't have one, so I went to my dads...thanks dad!
Next, I used heat transfer foil.
I got mine from have lots of daily deals, so I scored this for cheap!
I got the Heidi Swapp Reactive foil...check here to see if they still have it!
I cut out pieces and set them (shiny foily side up)
on the print.
I wanted some parts in red, some in blue and the rest in gold.
I used small pieces of tape to hold the foil together.
As long as it is not directly over the print, it's fine...
Then place a piece of white paper over the top of this.
Then carefully run it through your laminator!
This laminator is worth it!

I got this for my birthday 5 years ago and love it.
Worth every penny.
Remove the paper, and lift the foil and ta-da!
It leaves the shiny behind, right where the print was!
It's so much fun!
You can see some mistakes, but so awesome!
Perfect decor for the summer!
I just taped it to an interchangeable frame I use!

And this other fun Foil project I did!

I have that same laminator! I don't use it a lot, but I love having it for when I do need (want) it!

I used foil like that years ago, and I believe it said you can also use a copy machine, as the toner is basically the same in laser printers and copy machines. I put it back through the laser printer to adhere the foil, though. I would imagine a household iron, without steam, could be used as well. Where there's a will there's a way!! :)
