Are you ready for the onslaught of Christmas crafts? If you are going to get any crafting done for the holidays, it's best to start now before the hustle and bustle of the season is in full swing.

You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch! I love the Dr. Seuss story "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". I even love all three movie adaptations. Honestly, I love the newest, The Grinch Movie the most. I love the end when he is invited to dinner and realizes that he didn't hate Christmas, he just hated being alone. He toasts "To kindness and love, the things we need most!" If ever this was true, it's today. This year, 2020, has been lonely and isolating to so many people.

Take some time to be kind to your neighbor, the person ahead of you in the checkout line at the store, or to that person passing by.

Rub the vinyl firmly to help it all to adhere in place. Then peel back the transfer tape by rolling it over itself.

The ornament is done--basically! Such a cute and easy Christmas craft!

Make a cute grinch ornament in just a few minutes with Cricut and some dollar store supplies.

Now it can be filled with anything green! I used giant chocolate balls, but something smaller would be much more darling. You could roll up paper and use it as a way to gift money! What would you fill it with?

Hang it on the tree to remind you to share kindness and love to all those around you.

I heard a wonderful talk a couple years ago that gave some excellent advice:
"When you meet someone, treat them as if they were in serious trouble, and you will be right more than half the time.” He goes on to say, "Not only was he right, but I have learned over the years that he was too low in his estimate."

Some people are facing the worst moments of their lives...
I remember back when I was a junior in high school, mid January, I found out during school that my mom had died. My darkest day. I was devastated but had to attend class to take a end of semester test.

I hugged my friend when I saw her in the hall and I heard a boy walk by and make an incredibly mean comment.

I was shocked. He had no idea the depth of my sorrow.

However, I am glad for that experience. It's helped me to have more empathy for the people I meet, so I don't make a rude judgement call on someone else's moment of darkness.

Treat everyone as if they are in serious trouble...and more often than not, you'll be right.

Have you had a similar experience or a moment of kindness that changed your outlook on things?
