Easy Updated Wreath for Spring! I had 2 awesome projects... This awesome Snowflake bunting! And this... Pinwheel Wreath And after the holidays, I decided to combine the 2 projects! I took the ornament snowflakes (which I made in spring colors...and had on our Christmas tree) and Hot glued them over the pinwheel wreath! The pinwheels are still there and show a little bit! It makes a fabulous, thick, textured wreath...all out of paper! Perfect for the months ahead! Linking up to THESE parties this week!

Christmas Pinwheel wreath with Astrobright paper!

Create a beautiful wreath for Christmas with Paper Pinwheels! Here's what you'll need: Squares of patterned paper Squares of Astrobright paper (same sizes) rhinestones or faceted buttons tape hot glue wreath form glue dots scissors I cut the paper into squares of 3 different sizes. 6", 4" and 2.5" The Astrobright paper is the best part of these pinwheels! It's so pretty to have those bright pops of color show through! Take 1 patterned paper and 1 astrobright of the same size. Run tape over the edges of one, and press them together. So the color will peek through. Fold into a triangle. Open and then fold into a triangle the other direction. This divides it into quarters. Cut the fold lines 3/4's of the way toward the center. leaving about an inch or so in the center. Stick a pop up glue dot on the center of the pinwheel... you can have the colored paper on the inside or the outside...it looks good to have a variety!...

Upcycled Book Page Glitter Pinwheels!

Upcycled Book Page Glitter Pinwheels! Book pages are so darling and these pinwheels are full of summertime! These are fun and whimsical...and really work!  Unlike these ones from yesterday! They would be darling paired with book page rosettes! Cut your pages into squares.  Then fold them diagonally both ways. Cut the folds about 3/4's the way to the center like so. Add some glue along all the edges... Dump on glitter. Dust off and pour excess back into jar.  I love this chunky square glitter... Use a straight pin and poke through the flap of the pinwheel. Then the same side on the next flap... Then the same side on the next flap Then the last flap.  I pierce the pin through a tongue depressor...not thick enough... Pencils work great.  Poke the pin right into the pencil eraser! I settled on using a dowel...just used a hammer and skinny nail and poked the start of a hole, then inserted the pinwheel ...
