Thanks & Giving Serving Tray Decor

 Let our lives be full of both Thanks and Giving! I have neglected Thanksgiving decor in the past and thought this year I would remedy that. I really love Thanksgiving.  I love that for a moment, the world is a little more grateful for what they have.  I had this silver plated tray. Not real silver and in very poor condition.  I got this tiny jar of chalkboard paint in the Dollar Spot at Target... and one jar was MORE than enough for this tray.  Just brushed on one thin layer and let it dry completely.  Then repeated 2 more times. (Still have half the jar of paint left!)  Even the pattern embossing looks much better now!  Then I just sketched out my thought in chalk...  Then then used a Chalk Marker (also known as wet markers) over the chalk.  Adding thicker lines on the down strokes...  And then outlining it with some harvest colors.  I love it! First, turn over your paper and rub chalk on the backside. Then lay it on your chalkboard and tape in place. Trace the lines with a piece of chalk. This will rub off just enough of the pattern to see! Once finished, it's time for the chalk markers! To activate the marker the first time, shake generously with the cap on...then press the tip onto a piece of paper  repeatedly until the ink begins to flow.
