Shirt and Tie Treat Holders from Envelopes!

Shirt and Tie Treat Holders from Envelopes! These are so adorable and they are just made from envelopes! Any envelope will do! Just lick it and seal it shut. Then cut the very top edge off. Opens up to the perfect candy bar wrapper! Cut a half inch slit in the center of the top of the envelope. Fold down from the cut...making collars. Cut a tie out of scrapbook paper Tape it in place and tape down the lapels. So cute! Add a pull out tag for an invitation to something fun...or an announcement of some kind! Or fill it with goodies! Perfect for a guy gift, Father's day or any "dress up" occasion! This post published on Doodlecraft first

Colored Pencil Necklace!

Colored Pencil Necklace! Great Back to School Accessory!  Take some old colored pencils and sharpen them up.  I used a bandsaw to cut the sharpened tips off...at varying lengths. You could use a hand saw super easy too.  Then take a drill and drill a small hole in the top of the pencil piece.  Now to make the necklace. I use 20 lb. test fishing line.  It's pretty thick. And a barrel clasp.  Just put the end through the clasp. Knot it around twice and pull tight.  Then string on the pencils in your desired order!  Knot off the end of the fishing line to the other end of the clasp. Wear for some serious Back to School Style!  Perfect for the little creative artist! This post published on Doodlecraft first

Fruit Charm Bracelet!

Fruit Charm Bracelet! Adorable bright fruit dangling on your wrist!  There are 20 brightly colored fruit beads. I got them from a craft supplier that seems to have disappeared... out of business for some reason...sad. I also used bead pins or head pins, some chain, a toggle, jump rings and pliers!  Since the beads already have holes, I just stuck in the bead pin, Looped the other end with pliers ready to hang on the chain bracelet. I used small jump rings to attach to the chain.  Turned out so bright and cute! Nearly Kawaii style...just needs some little faces painted on! This post published on Doodlecraft first

Lord of the Rings Lembas Bread!

Lord of the Rings Lembas Bread! The bread was very nutritious, stayed fresh for months when wrapped in  mallorn leaves, and was used for sustenance on long journeys. Said to fill a man's stomach with just one bite! Okay, This is basically survival bread. Wont fill your stomach with one bite but is satisfying! It's pretty good and uses only a couple ingredients...so it's basic and easy to make. You need: 2 cups Flour 1 cup Water 1 tsp salt pour into a mixing bowl  add the water...  knead until smooth It will likely be sticky, so knead with plenty of flour  roll out into thin pancakes. they still puff up a little like flatbread.  Pan fry them or bake them in the oven. You could even do this over a fire!  Toast both sides like pancakes...  Break and serve. My 5 year old loved this! Adding some bruschetta is great! This post published on Doodlecraft first
