Wish in a Bottle Necklace!

Wish in a Bottle Necklace! Cute and delicate little dandelion seeds in a bottle makes a great gift or a keepsake for a child. This cute handmade craft is easy to assemble and just needs a few supplies.  You will need a dandelion (at least 1 seed with the fluff attached) Bottle with cork (got mine from Oriental Trading) Gold Chain Brass blanks Metal Alphabet stamps  Open the bottle and slide one or 2 dandelion seeds inside. I did 2.  They are so cute!  Put the cork back in  Next I used brass blanks and the metal stamp set. With the word WISH  Here's how we do the impression After some pounding on the anvil, they look adorable!  Use a sharpie to draw over the impression and get the ink deep in the grooves  Then use a dry magic eraser and rub the top surface to wipe off the sharpie.   Then attach the bottle to a chain and the wish tag with pliers and a jump ring!  I love it! ...

Daddy Dog Tags!

Metal Stamping is so much fun! I want to stamp everything in sight!  I got dog tags for less than $1. And used my letter punches from Hobby Lobby and a heavy hammer. Work on a hard flat surface...like a marble slab or solid work bench.  To stamp out the words Place the punch in place and hammer firmly once. This metal dog tag was soft and easily took the impression. Some metals require a little more effort.  Best dad ever!  Filled in with sharpie marker...  and wiped off with a mr. clean eraser...  love it!  Great gift for a guy! Here's some others I've done: Pennies! Keys Washers Bigger Washers! This post published on Doodlecraft first

Metal Stamped Keys!

I love stamping on metal! I bought these letter stamps almost a year ago... and made a bunch of washer necklaces ... and I want to punch my name into everything metal I see! So I decided, KEYS!!! I did 2 that say "my heart" Like the Key to my Heart...get it?  Use black sharpie...and wipe off the top surface with a Mr. Clean eraser.  Keeps the black down in the crevice.  I did a couple for cars too! You could stamp the name of your car. I drove a van all through high school...I drove a carpool of friends to school in it. My best friend and I called her "old dime".  Ha ha, memories. I wouldn't stamp my address on it...or anything specific... but a friendly reminder is pretty fun! Or at least can help you know which key is which!  Or stamp on your husbands keys!  And made these ones into necklaces.  Keys are the best! This post published on Doodlecraft first

Lucky Stamped Pennies!

The Lucky winner of the Bubblegum Backdrops Giveaway is: Julianne Brooks! Anyone who didn't win can use the coupon code: DOODLECRAFT15 for 15% off your entire purchase!  Hurry, offer only good until July 31! I got some Metal Alphabet Stamps...and have been stamping everything! Like Big Washers and Fancy Washer Necklaces! Keys, spoons, washers and PENNIES! But I needed a way to punch a hole in the penny for a necklace...  That's it, I used my cropadile! It cut right through that penny so smoothly! I did a few extra pennies, that have yet to be stamped...  And in my new found excitement and arrogance, I reached for a Canadian penny...and tried to punch a hole through that... little did I know that the metal content was much  different than an American penny...and it broke my cropadile...so sad. Isn't that lucky? Linking up to THESE parties this week!
