Elsa Princess Inspired Hairbow!

Elsa Princess Inspired Hairbow! Okay, realtime. I do not like the movie Frozen. I was so excited, I wanted to love it!  I love the Snow Queen idea and they could have done so many wonderful things with this story! but...it was a poorly scripted/written money maker film. Teaching poor values and disregard for right and wrong. It's perfect for marketing because there are 2 blonde princesses in one show! Twice the merch, twice the money! So, despite not liking the show...I still like the Snow Queen idea. And I love Blue and white and snowflakes! My birthday is in January, so that is about all it's good for...which is probably why I like the Snow Queen idea so much. So I made an Elsa inspired hairbow! I used satin ribbon from Papermart They don't compensate me, but they have great quality ribbon. I used 36 inches of these sizes/colors 1.5 inch white, 1 inch Aegean blue, 7/8 inch light blue I used birdcage veil netting and a snowflake rhinestone butto...

CHRISTMAS IN JULY: Cotton Blossom Ornament!

Cotton Blossom Ornament  We lived in Alabama for 2 years. After growing up in Utah for 30 years...it was quite a change! It snowed one time and stuck to the ground for about 4 hours. One very different sight was the cotton fields! I called it Alabama Snow!  It's basically Southern snow. We went to the field after they harvested and gathered up a few remaining blossoms.  Have you seen real cotton? It's amazing!  It is proof that a loving God created this earth. I also used some clear plastic ornaments. This giant sphere ornament had too small of an opening and I had to remove the  cotton tuft from the pod to fit it inside.  It looks just like a big ball of cotton!  For these other 2...I used the snap in half plastic ornaments. That way I could fit the entire blossom inside...it's packed in there!  But it shows the open pod on the other side!  I think they are adorable little reminders of our time in the South!...
