Marbled Soap with Soap Shavings!

Marbled Soap with Soap Shavings! This soap is a combination of 2 kinds of soap, so it looks marbled and cool!  I've made some soaps before. My older son is a Den Chief with the younger Cub Scouts. They learned about whittling last month and got to carve a bar of soap. I love the thick curls of ivory soap and asked my son to save them. He brought them home, more proud of the shavings than his carving!  You will need: Stephenson Melt & Pour Crystal Soap Base Soap shavings Soap Mold Glass container and spoon  Aren't those lovely soap shavings?  Melt the soap base in a microwave container. Melt for 1 minute, then stir.  Repeat until melted completely.  Pour about 1/4 inch of soap base into the mold.  Let it set up slightly and then add some soap shaving curls.  Let it set. Then add more soap base to cover the shavings.  Let it set up. Then fill the rest of the mold with soap base. Let it set up c...

Seashell Soap Dish

Seashell Soap Dish! What better way to display something as boring as soap than a giant shell?!  I have a bunch of these ancient shells. They are giant and awesome...but sort of useless.  So I added a touch of pink enamel! The perfect paint because it is not water soluble...so  constant soap and water wont be a problem!  I poured some hot pink nail polish into the shell and used the wand to paint it on!  Easy, awesome and the perfect pop of color!!!  And it now happily resides by my sink for the cleanliness of hands. Or it could hold jewelry...rings perhaps!  Awesome and bright! I love it! This post published on Doodlecraft first

Jewel Soaps!

I think soap is so fun! It's a great gift too, because everyone uses soap...or they should... and it doesn't take up extra space or make clutter. And Jewel soaps are adorable too!   I was sent Stephenson's Melt and Pour soap base . This one is free of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.   Yay...no harmful chemicals!  I used some neon soap coloring (the same I used for Rainbow Soap )  Just as easy as melting the soap base for 30 seconds... adding some drops of color and mixing!  Poured into my jewel mold and cooled. This cools so fast!  Pop them out and admire the cuteness! Love! Check out my other soaps too! Peppermint Orange and Oat Citronella Bug Repellant Soap Neon Rainbow Soap! Neon Rainbow Soaps!

Homemade Neon Rainbow Soaps! Learn how to make layered rainbow soaps using a melting soap base and colorants for soap. It's a fun and easy craft for a vibrant addition to the sink!  Soapy layers of color!  I was sent Stephenson's Melt and Pour soap base . This one is free of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.   Yay. As well as a soap mold and a fun Keep Calm-Make Soap shirt!  I ordered some Neon soap colors on ebay    I used about an eighth of what I had and melted it down in a measuring cup.  Added the neon red...just a few drops.  And poured a thin layer in the soap mold. I set the soap in the fridge to help it set faster. It sets pretty quick!  I cleaned the measuring cup and repeated the process... with orange!  I loved seeing the layers form.  Then bright yellow!  Then green, blue and purple! Then they easily came out of the mold right onto the counter top with light tapping. They are super pretty! These are suc...
