Easy Finger Puppet Gloves!

Easy Finger Puppet Gloves! We made family finger puppets!  Firstly, we love to make handmade gifts for Christmas. This past year we drew names and made one thing for the person we got. My little 7 year old was unsatisfied that all he had to do was make me something... and he wanted to make his older brother and sister something too. He had a great idea. Glove puppets of the family! I told him to sit down and draw a picture of what he wanted everyone to look like.  It was pretty cute!  We took a pair of knit gloves. The pair worked great because the brother is left handed and the sister is right handed!  We used felt and cut circles for faces...I only had ivory felt for our skin tone... but it's pretty true to color during the winter!  Then we added colorful hair and wiggly eyes. I hot glued everything in place...  Then my son picked where he wanted each person to be... and we hot glued them on each finger.  T...

CHRISTMAS IN JULY Clothespin Reindeer Ornament!

Clothespin Reindeer Ornament!  You will need: 3 old fashioned clothespins per reindeer (with hole drilled through one) Brown paint Red pom poms Small googly eyes twine  Begin by painting all the clothespins brown. Great for older kids!  Let them dry completely.  Then stack 2 the same direction for the legs. Hot glue in place. Then one for the head/antlers.  It really only needs one set of holes through the antlers for hanging.  Add googly eyes and a very shiny red nose...like a light bulb!  Tie some twine through the hole to hang.  Totally adorable! Great for kids to give to teachers or friends! These would make an extra cute necklace too! This post published on Doodlecraft first

Snowman in Summer Fillable Ornament!

Snowman in Summer Fillable Ornament!  Make a fabulous melted snowman in a clear fillable ornament! Supplies: Epsom salt Orange felt carrot nose Snowman in Summer vinyl Black dots...could use peppercorn...but I didn't have any, so I cut the black things out of googly eyes!  I used a funnel and poured in some epsom salt. You don't want to make it too heavy...so just about 1/8 cup or so.  Then add in your little snowman face. You could add a few small buttons too!  Don't shake it up so the face pieces stay on top!  Apply the vinyl... (in hindsight, I'd probably do this before filling...haha)  Tie a ribbon on it!  And hang it on the tree to remind you of warmer days! This post published on Doodlecraft first
