Princess Inspired Hairbows!!!

I've just posted 8 days straight of fun Princess inspired bows. (which, my sister in law informed me, was super tedious) But now, I can have them all compiled into one great reference page  for other bow like-minded people! So yay! One thing you might not have noticed during the last 8 days was that I posted the bows based on when their movie was released...beginning with Snow White and ending with Elsa! I love hairbows! I love the shabby chic look of them, so I generally use 3 elements, Ribbon, feathers and rhinestones. Sometimes chiffon flowers, birdcage veil, or other charms. Anyway, scroll through these in case there are some you don't recognize from last week's bow fiasco! :) Belle Tinkerbell Sleeping Beauty Ariel Cinderella Rapunzel Snow White Elsa Briar Rose Bow Alice in Wonderland Little Bo Peep Pigtail Bows! Rapunzel Princess Inspired Hairbow!

Rapunzel  Princess Inspired Hairbow!  I absolutely love Rapunzel! Tangled is one of my favorite Disney movies.  We were so excited to meet her at Disney world in 2013. She was so cute and animated!  My daughter just turned 12. She is very girly but is growing up. So we made a bunch of shabby chic hairbows  that are "Princess Inspired" These are perfect for her!  I love satin ribbon.  I use a lot of it, so I ordered a ton of colors and sizes from Papermart . They don't compensate me at all...but I thought I'd share the best prices on ribbon. I used 1 yard each of 3 sizes: 1.5 inch in orchid, 1 inch in light pink and 7/8 inch in orchid.  You will also need: Heavy thread Lighter Scissors   As well as other embellishments. My favorite are marabou boa puffs and plastic rhinestone buttons...available at any craft store. You will also need 2 one inch pieces of 1/4" elastic and a felt circle.  To make...

Belle Princess Inspired Hairbow!

Belle Princess Inspired Hairbow! I love the yellow/gold gown on Beauty and the Beast. I love the music on Beauty and the Beast. We watched the live show at Disney World and loved it. We were happy to have a minute to sit down and not wait in lines. We enjoyed the show...  Especially this guy. He caught zzzz's any chance he could! Haha, I used metallic gold ribbon and gold ribbon. A yellow chiffon flower and a pearl rhinestone button. Gather and wrap the ribbon with thick thread. Here's the full tutorial for gathering. Wire edged ribbon actually works pretty good! Then stack and hot glue the pieces together. Then just finish off the back. You can just hot glue it to a headband or a clip... but I love this technique because it is so versatile! Super cute and ready to rock! Great for tweens, teens, babies or to pin like a brooch to your lapel or bag! This post published on Doodlecraft first
