Nes Nintendo Video Game Controller Necklace!

Nes Nintendo Video Game Controller Necklace! As far as geekery goes...nothing beats the original Nintendo Controller. Nothing. So as an ode to days long past, here's a pendant necklace.  I used Fimo oven bake clay. Silver, black and red. Start with a silver slab, about 1/4" thick.  Then I rolled out some black (glitter) as thin as I could...well maybe about 1/8"  I cut another rectangle to fit inside... then I added silver rectangles to make the plus sign, center and A/B button background...  Then I added black plus and start select buttons. And 2 red circles for the A/B.  Poked 2 small holes in each top corner and then baked it for about 30 minutes at 275* F.  After cooling, I hooked a chain to jump rings and through the holes. Easy!  It's small, but fits in my hands and I can "play" it like I did in the olden days! Brings me back to the days of Contra, Mickey Mousecapade and Mario Brothers! What was your fa...

Mario Brothers Luma Necklace!

Mario Brothers Luma Necklace! I love Nintendo!  We got one in the late 80's and played all the time. I remember having to share it with my syblings...but also my parents! They loved Tetris and Doctor Mario. My favorite games were all the Mario Brothers games ever made (of course), Contra and Mickey Mousecapade. Anyone play those games?? Well, this little Luma pendant is the perfect geek chic accessory!  I rolled and molded a little star out of polymer oven bake clay.  Stuck and eyepin in it and then baked according to package directions. After cooling, I painted black oval eyes followed by white dots. I put a chain on him while his eyes were drying. Super cute! Did you or do you play Nintendo? What's your favorite game? Mario Brothers Piranha Plant Earrings!

Piranha Plant Earrings!  I absolutely love Mario Brothers . And I absolutely love geek inspired crafts.   These Piranha Plant earrings are my favorite to date! Let's make some. You will need: RED, GREEN and WHITE polymer clay 2 toothpicks 2 Earring backs hobby knife Roll 2 red balls. Mine were 4 grams each. Cut out a notch...so they look like pacman.  Take the earring back and gently push it in the open notch.  Push it barely under the surface and smooth the clay over it. Careful not to push it in too deep or it will not go  through the ear lobe far enough to put the back on.  Smooth it out.  Do for both sides. (I do both sides at the same time...) Now for the greenery.  You will need... 2 mini marshmallow sized pieces. 2 tubes 4 leaves  Take a thin snake and roll it flat...  Add to the top edge of the marshmallows to make a planter pot... Or a pipe?  Now take t...
