Wii Nunchuck Repair with Sugru!

Wii Nunchuck Repair with Sugru ! We had these old wii nunchucks that had the knob all picked on and gross. I used Sugru to fix them up! Just open the pouch, roll the silicone putty in your hand and form it around the knob.  Let them dry overnight...it doesn't take that long, but it's the best time to ignore something that is drying.  We love them so much more!  We should have done it earlier! Here's another Sugru Fix Broken Tea Cup ?????? Umbrella I did using red Sugru too! It's the 7th Doctor's umbrella (Doctor Who)  This post published on Doodlecraft first

Broken Teacup Repair! Fix Anything with Sugru!

Broken Teacup Repair!  Fix Anything with Sugru!  Here's what happened. I bought a tea cup at the thrift store and brought it home.  I bought some clothes too and completely forgot about the teacup in the bag with the clothes...when I CHUCKED it across the room! I heard a smash and just knew I shattered it. Thankfully it was just in 3 pieces and I decided to repair it!  I got some Sugru. It's mouldable glue.  It fixes everything. It comes in a range of colors.  Awesome right!?  I used white, blue and some yellow.  Mixed it up to make teal.  Then I added snake like pieces to the edge of the cup and pressed the pieces together.  And then the last piece.  I used painters tape to hold it all in place so it would stay solid while drying completely.  Now it can hold water! I use it for a rinsing pot for watercolors and calligraphy. Sugru is non-toxic but doesn't have all the documentation ye...

Dying Shoes Black!

Dying Shoes Black! If you know me, you'll know I wear black nearly exclusively. I've tried colors in the past and always revert to black. So naturally, I like black shoes. I found these Merrell's at a thrift store and liked them... But wanted them black. So I asked my husband to paint them with leather dye and see how they do!  He used black leather dye and a paintbrush.  And turned my shoes from these...  Into these! It was hard to change the color of the synthetic netting, but I like the green and black combo just fine! In any case, it's nice to know you have the power to change something as drastic as shoe color! We fixed up some roller blades for the 7 year old the same way...there was some pink on them! You Won't Believe How I Fixed this Toy!

Toy Gun Repair! Are any (or all) of your Christmas toys broken already? (Let's be real...lots of them broke the week of Christmas...right?) You might need this trick! I got this cool pull back toy gun at a yard sale...  only problem was this gross pull back looked chewed on. Sick.  After a good washing... I heated up a cup of water and added in some Polly Plastics pellets These things are amazing--they melt and you mold them! I just molded them right over the end in a sort of bulb shape! Then hold and let dry.  If you set it down, the plastic might sag,  so keep an eye on it until it dries...it only takes minutes. It will be completely white when dry. Now it is fully functioning and amazing! Just a bit of black spray paint and it's better than new! Great way to "trick" up weaponry or accessories for Halloween! Check out these two other amazing projects I did with Poly Plastic: You will love how useful this stuff i...
