Super Sci-Fi Rocket Fueled Jet Pack--Upcycled Craft DIY
I love upcycled crafts. There is nearly nothing better than taking something destined for the landfill and turning into pure joy. This Rocket Jet Pack is the perfect upcycled craft.
It's easy and quick to make! You can add all the embellishments in the world, or just let it be the fuel for your child's imagination.
Perfect for party favors at a Space themed party, great to celebrate the lunar landing in 1969, or just to let a child whiz around the yard!

craft promises to make you a better parent in less than 20
minutes. There are days I am just rushing around, taking care of
everything that I barely notice the people I love the most.
I know we've
all been there. This craft is the solution. It doesn't take
long and anyone can do it. And the instant joy in your persons eyes is
worth every minute!

my son's imagination...I knew he needed some Jet Packs. He loves to
run. He absolutely loves Boba Fett from Star Wars! He loves the thought of flight. And I like making things
with little expense...especially if I know they are going to get flown around
at top speed.
You guys...this is my baby, but these can be custom
made to fit anyone of any size.

If you are doing puppets for VBS make some jet packs using 20 oz or 1 liter bottles instead of the 2 liter.

ReplyDeleteWe made these with our grandsons tonight. I used velcro instead of staples to adhere the webbing to the cardboard and the chest webbing. It turned out really nice.. Thanks for the idea! Kathy Fry!

ReplyDeleteI love this and I coulnd'nt wait to do it. I am half way done and so far they look great. I am making three, I have four boys, but one is 15 and a little old for it. I added pull cords for the starter. I used the badge clips with the retractible cord. $3 something for 6 at walmart. Thanks for the great idea.

ReplyDeleteabsolutely girls can be astronauts. I sure wish someone would have made me one when I was a kid.. only I dont think two liter plastic bottles had been invented yet. Girls can rock these just as well as boys..they have imaginations, too, yanno.

Just got the stuff to make this with my 5yo grandson. But he has informed me that there needs to be handle parts like Perry the Platypus has on his jetpack. ReplyDeleteThe only thing I'm doing differently is instead of using staples on the arm straps, I'm hot gluing them. Don't wanna take any chances with getting poked. :)
