I made these shiny ornaments last night, and they turned out even prettier than the ones I made last year.

Using Crystal Clear Mod Podge, holographic chunky glitter, and a clear disc ornament, you can create stunning keepsakes that glow on the Christmas tree.

The best part? You only need a few supplies from your local craft store and a little bit of patience while they dry.

Step 2: Add the Mod Podge

Pour a little bit of Crystal Clear Mod Podge inside the ornament.

Swirl it around slowly, coating the entire interior.

Make sure the glue glides across every surface.

Tip: Turning the ornament upside down as you rotate helps prevent streaks.

Step 4: Let It Drain & Dry

Turn the ornaments upside down and place it on a small plastic cup so the Mod Podge and extra glitter can drip out.

Leave it to dry overnight for best results.

I let mine sit overnight and it was perfectly set by morning.

This slow drying is the best way to avoid streaks and get fully even coverage.

Once dry, pop the ornament’s metal topper back in place.

If yours feels loose, add a dab of hot glue to secure it.

Step 6: Add a Silver Bow or Cricut Accent

Tie a pretty ribbon around the top—silver looked gorgeous on mine!

If you enjoy cricut crafts, this is the perfect moment to add names, dates, or tiny snowflake decals.

Or glitter your ornament in bright green and add a Grinch face to the front of it to make Grinch Ornaments!

This technique works beautifully with holographic glitter in gold, silver, pastel mixes, jewel tones, or classic Christmas shades.

I love using the large and fine glitter combined, it gets in every little space, leaving it extra sparkly!
