I remember making loads of Valentines, it was my favorite holiday because I could be so crafty...I did not like getting pre-made Valentines.  These envelopes are great any time of year and make letter giving much more special!

Supplies Needed for Heart-Shaped Envelope:

Supplies Needed for Heart-Shaped Envelope: 12x12 sheet of paper (mine's DCWV) Cricut Explore Air™ 2 machine Wax seal and wax sticks and hot glue gun (specifically for wax seals)

Step 1: Heart Shape

In Cricut Design Space, click the shape button and select heart.  Scale it so it fills the mat, 11.5 inches wide.  Insert your paper on the mat and cut it out.

Finally, fold the top flap down, which is the point of the heart.  The tip of the heart covers everything and is ready to be filled and sealed.

Step 3: Embellish Heart-Shaped Envelope!

Cut a card to fit inside your envelope--it would be so cute out of the same paper or a similar paper family. Then add your card or sentiment and then seal with a fancy wax seal.

You could also use a sticker or some washi tape to make it extra cute.

Heart-shaped perfection!  This is a fun way to teach kids how to make an envelope too! Could be done out of recycled magazines or scrap paper...or child's old doodle pages!

**note: the thinner the paper, the easier**
