Log Slice Pencil Holder!

Log Slice Pencil Holder! Add a rustic and natural touch to your desktop with this log pencil holder!  You will need: A log slice (about 4 inches tall and 4 inches wide) Drill and 1/2 inch spade bit Possibly a pencil.  I found this log at a campsite.  It was just too adorable to burn. You could use any size log and make any amount of holes you want. Imagine a 24 piece set of colored pencils all arranged in a log slice...aw, heaven. I pretreated the log by baking it in the oven at 275* for about 30 minutes, then turning it over for another 30 minutes. It needs to dry or it can crack as it dries out over time.  I lightly sanded the top of the log. Get your 1/2 inch bit locked and loaded.  Drill the first hole directly in the center...then space the other holes at least 1/4" away. Flapper Style Feather Headband!

 Flapper Style Feather Headband!  I used just a few things for this adorable headband! You will need: 16-18" fold over elastic Fancy Nagorie plumed feather plastic netting (from an old marble or fruit bag) plastic rhinestone button  I measured my head with the elastic and then cut it one inch shorter...this  way it stretches just enough to keep it on but not to squeeze out your brains. Use a lighter to melt both ends to prevent fraying.  Hot glue them to the back of the feather pad...and hot glue a felt circle over the top of them.  I used pliers to pinch off the back of the button... And put a dot of hot glue on the feather...then set the net on top and pressed the jewel on the glue. Holding it all together!  Looks cute and has a fun flapper vibe!  Can be worn as a plumed headband too!  Don't you love using recyclables in cool crafts!? Rock Puff Paint Place Markers!

 Rock Puff Paint Place Markers! This is a fun craft for kids! They can help make the place tags...or use them when they set the table!  Have your kids collect small rocks about the same size and shape...or not! Pick as many as you need! Paint them all a solid color and let them dry completely.  Use Puff Paint dimensionals and just write names on them...  Let them dry overnight completely. They will look the exact same when they are dry...so be sure to give them plenty of drying time.  They look great set at the table.
